A place to discuss all things ADM

Regardless of slow production and high dealer ADMs, resellers and middlemen don’t seem to have had any issue getting these cars when you see how many are out there for sale.

kind of puts a damper of Porsche building as many of the 992 gt3's as they can, which was mentioned earlier in one of these threads

Smart man. Been saying this for a long time. Go test drive a used 720 coupe. Will blow the doors off a GT3. I owned a 720 (sold to make room for 765 spider) and a GT3 so I’m giving my experience as an actual owner of both.
Or buy a Huracan. Or a 600lt or a multitude of other cars in that price range.

There will be a gt3 someday. But I’m pretty annoyed by the dealers pre-specing units for the floor and auctioning them instead of letting an actual customer spec their car. If I can’t spec it, why should I pay any adm ? I’ll buy it at auction. These cars are fantastically reliable, so it doesn’t make any difference to me if it has a few thousand miles.

I believe 1.5-2 years. Maybe someone can chime in as I’m not sure when first deliveries took place? I know my build was august of 17.

Is that on a new allocation? You can get these sub $80K on a landed car in Southern California which is usually on the higher end of the market. I called McKenna and just asked and they said $80K no negotiation, as that is still ridiculous I hung up. If you want the shark blue touring they have listed, try calling around SoCal dealers are starting to move from their asking prices and saying they are willing to work.

My 720 is wrapping production now, should be here late September. Very excited. The buying experience was so much more enjoyable than constantly getting my chain yanked. So much less bull****. MSO was delightful.

Congrats Alex. Super excited for you. I know you are active on Mlife forum as well so I’m glad you pulled the trigger on the 720. I agree that the buying experience is miles better (although my local Porsche guy is pretty spectacular).
Not sure how much seat time you have in the 720 but it’s next level experience. The. gT3 is great for a 175-200k car. In the 300k range it’s just not worth it.
Congrats.

Figured this was a good spot as any to post up this report on automotive brand loyalty. Porsche is second to last among premium brands.
I'm sure ADM has a lot, A LOT to do with it.
Edit: I spoke to soon... when initial quality is as bad as 200 problems per 100 vehicles experienced in first 90 days.. that undoubtedly also has something to do with it.. again second to worst behind Land Rover

Maybe that will help with adm. they were second in PP100 3 years ago. What’s changed? The taycan. The amount of non tech savvy older people buying them who probably still have flip phones skewed those numbers.

Agree - I also think these numbers are skewed by production issues / lack of allocations - while I recognize most brands had / still have issues, Porsche stands out as one of the ones with the most issues so it’s not crazy that many customers were simply not willing to wait a long time for their next Porsche and just went to another brand that had shorter wait times.

Interesting take but I'm sure that Porsche owners that looked into buying a GT3 and were told to either walk or pay up $100k ADM have something to do with filling up those JD Powers cards.
