Looks like there was an accident and the dealer could not sell. Interesting that a CPO was offered at one point in time.

This one isn’t bad for an S cab if you get a PPI and try and confirm it was just in a minor fender bender

With regard to the runup in prices, I spoke to the Sales Manager at the local Porsche dealership and he says it was the shutdown (or slowdown) at the plants in Germany due to Covid-19 which reduced new car inventory making used cars more in demand. They only have 2 911's coming in for the next few months and won't see any volume until May. Same problem on the Mercedes side.

Not to toot my own horn but I will anyway. I predicted this back in March and quite few objected saying new and used cars would be dirt cheap because dealers would desperate to sell cars in the economic slow down. Where are those folks now?

It is quite interesting to see the dynamic this recession vs the one in 2008. I bought a new M3 for $20K off back then, now I'm looking for a 911 and cant even find a fair deal. I'll just wait.

Supply and demand. Porsche can't produce new cars, so the value of used is high. Not like 2008, market is booming, lots of money to spend. Try and find a new Rolex, can't even get on a waiting list, and used market is out of control.

I almost scored a great deal when things fist opened up in May and dealers moved a few cars quick for cheap to raise some quick cash. Missed out by an hour.

Most likely by this time next year car prices for both new and used will be back to "normal". I am in no rush.

Even though salesmen said new and used inventory is low, bought this car in August for 10k less than asking.

I’m feeling pretty good about the 14 I picked up with 18k miles.

Wish I have kept one of the turbos though.
