Do you have any thoughts on offer price point? Seems like something between 95k-100k should do it, but I can't find that this car or one like it moved through Manheim recently on MMR.

The sticker is $130k and it's 3 years old with 22k miles. While 22k miles sounds low it's still higher than average. The issue with this car is that it's not an S. Hardly a deal breaker but when you go to sell it later it will take longer.

You know Targas seem to hold their value since they are so rare. I have a Cab and love it but should have driven a Targa. That is a beautiful car.

As to buying from a non-branded dealer this biggest bullsh*t and flim-flam I've ever gone through was my 997.1 C4S purchase from a Porsche dealer, and the best, most honest purchase was when I traded it in to a small lot in Glendale California called Future Auto Sales https://www.fas4cars.com/ run by an Armenian dude to get my 2015 GTS cab.

The car is the car. Trust nobody. My GTS was owned by a guy that didn't drive it so he went to KBB.com and got a dealer purchase quote online then took it to the closest KBB affiliate to his house and got a check.

Now this is hot if you likeMiami Blue which I do. It is fairly loaded 2019 Targa 4S with 7100 miles but it's $130k https://www.iseecars.com/cars-for-sale#id=100497967859

Sticker is $157,470 https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0BB2A94KS125117/

Of course it might be not a big deal if the damage was all cosmetic, but either way it does bring the price down. I wouldn't consider this HFS at this price considering the damage
That’s a game changer then. Good to know!

For anyone looking for a PDK 991.2, this looks like a pretty good deal for a CPO.
Bit of a stripper build though....

I'm in the market for a 911 too and hope they get back to this kind of pricing. I've been watching them get further out of my reach during the price runup which I assume is due to covid. Still can't figure out why Covid would result in higher porche prices

Less traveling, etc. means more disposable income for toys... the same thing is happening to motorcycles and boats.

There are quite a few factors at play that have been discussed over the last 6-9 months here and elsewhere. One thought is that slowed production and delivery of 992's have prevented 991 owners from moving into those cars, and therefore creating scarcity with 991 availability. Another theory is that those with disposable income and weren't negatively impacted financially due to Covid are looking to spend that money on something enjoyable, like a sports car. Personally, I saved about $10k last year on family trips and vacations that were postponed or canceled. I know I'm not alone.

The Stop Sale campaign on 991.1 Sport Chrono equipped cars isn't helping either. I was at Porsche of Colorado Springs a couple weeks ago and they were sitting on 3 cars that they can't sell due to the Stop Sale campaign. Once that gets resolved, there will be more inventory to choose from.

The next few months are typically a good time to shop for 911's. I'm not suggesting you'll find a screaming deal, but prices do tend to normalize a bit, especially if you're looking for a cab. With that said, the good ones still go fast, so be ready to pull the trigger quickly if you find one that checks out.

Happy hunting.

All the other issues mentioned esp since people have more disposable income. It's also the stock market. It's always about that. Your 401K swells, your home is worth more than ever, and you feel rich. My business is tied directly to that too, Once that adjusts...and it will...prices will drop.

Manual tranny cars will continue to be expensive and hard to find. Likely prices will go up. Just not enough relative to demand, particularly as cars get more mileage on them.

Appreciate the insights on why the 911 market has increased in value. Makes more sense to me now.

Anyone checked on this birch green 2017 GTS?
https://www.audifresno.com/used/Pors...e90cf4c65c.htm

Its been sitting for 90 days, they havent really moved on the advertised price, they are asking 112k. Unless PTS really adds that much value the price seems high to me? It's at 78% of original MSRP.. that's getting close to GT3 levels of value retention based upon the age/miles.

Wow! That’s quite a colour!

That color is why it hasn't sold.
