Stop Sale?

That's a lot of reading "speculations". Flight from NY to AZ and I'm about caught up... A few pages back I was thinking I need to put a stop to this and stop at McLaren on the way home. Now I am back to thinking my GT3 might not be delayed that much.
I don't think any progress has been made this week, but definitely has my down time attention.

I predict my car will be ok.. and I'll be able to drive it tomorrow or Saturday.. Soo I just hope it continues to warm and melts all the snow before the weekend..
-Then they will tell Macca his car is effected, but he will drive it anyways, and it will not only catch on fire, but blow up his entire island..
-- 'I don't know him.. Just some guy in the neighborhood' --
.. In the meantime I just treated my self to a $50 Razer Aluminum Uni-Body Sandblasted Low-Friction Mouse pad and feel better already..

I just hope for some communication tomorrow. At this point I'm not even mad...I just want to know the timeframe for what's going on...that shouldn't be too much to ask for. Even if I have to wait for two months...LET ME KNOW so I can either buy something else in the meanwhile or just know Ill have my 3...

Compensation:
I don't think Porsche is going to do a thing other than fix your car. And, if you think about it the total cost of this ordeal will be shared by the outsource supplier/s that are at fault here. Heck, maybe they will foot the entire bill and Porsche's bottom line will not be affected. I think a big part of the delay is the negations between Porsche and their suppliers as to who is going to pay what. Most likely what they will do is buy the car back if you don't like the repair and then write off the loss and nothing more.....

As far as priority, it would seem to me that the cars that were built and not delivered may get to the head of the line since there are not that many of them AND PORSCHE WANTS TO GET PAID ASAP. Those that took delivery and paid may get pushed back a little. Food for thought.

Due respect, I honestly think you are wrong. Everyone from Porsche I've spoken to including a couple of personal sources indicate that compensation of some kind will be part of the deal. They can't bar you from driving a car you've paid for, for an extended amount of time, and not make it up to you somehow.

To repeat a previous story, when my 996 was out of service for a month I got a loaner AND a check for one month's car payment without asking. Personally, I think it's one thing to say, here's the problem, it will take a couple of days to fix, and we'll offer you a loaner. It's quite another to say we don't know what the problem is, and BTW don't drive your new car for an indeterminate period of time which may end up to be a coupe of months (but here's a loaner). I'll be very disappointed if that turns out to be the case.
