F1 is about cubic dollars. Don't forget the TAG victories mid 80's along with constructors titles x 2. (BIG MONEY INVOLVED)
Arrows performed poorly with every engine they used including Honda.

The golden rule of racing is he with the most gold rules.

Yep, the old one doesn't let rods exit readily and therefore doesn't go up in flames... plus it's completed more 24 hour enduros than the new one has 'break in periods'

The CEO says "we are close" and a spokesman says "months away"?
I would listen to the CEO.

The carmaker plans to announce a technical solution “shortly” after determining the reason for the incidents...

This is ambiguous. Reads differently depending on whether or not you put a comma after "shortly". The fact that "shortly" is in quotes makes it read like good news but if you remove the quotes then it reads like: "I tend to wipe my *** shortly after taking a ****".

Porsche had the car to beat in the 1980 Indianapolis 500. "Other" teams weren't happy with the performance of the car and caused the boost to be turned down as the P car was lapping Ontario at record pace in an OLD CHASSIS. Neutered, Porsche basically said "pound sand" and took the car home.

That engine was morphed into the 956 962 and the rest is history. Mezger case.

I can't see the inconsistency you can. The CEO says they will have a fix "soon". We've been hearing that for weeks. What's new? Having a fix isn't having the cars all back on the road. Ellis is saying the boys are working hard on the problem and that it will take several months to get all the cars on the road. It all sounds the same as it's been for a while now. The only thing new is "several months" has replaced "NFI".

If Paul did go rogue I bet Porsche has him on the "Barbie" as we speak. Or he is swimming with the sharks down under…...

I'm drinking the Cool Aid!
Porsche AG said it’s close to fixing a fault that caused engine fires in a racing version of the 911 sports car in a recall that cast a shadow on the Volkswagen AG (VOW) division’s growth plans.

The carmaker plans to announce a technical solution “shortly” after determining the reason for the incidents, Chief Executive Officer Matthias Mueller said today at a press conference at the Porsche Museum near company headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany.
