Yes anticlimax in the extreme, especially with TWO YEARS to develop the car.

Now time to start the rumor mill for the following cars:

991.2 GT3

981.1/981.2 Cayman GT4 RS

960

Have fun!

I see "N/A" in the specs regarding manual gearbox.

I was wondering how top speed could be so close to gt3 despite higher drag, bigger front surface, and shorter final drive ratio...and I've noticed the bigger rear wheels offset partially (if not totally) the shorter ratio...21 inches give exactly a 5% bigger wheel circumference compared to 20"....a bit of disappointment here

to GT3RS : about 70K euro + 7K euro for rearview cam and parking sensors.
spec includes carbon ceramics. no good part exchange deal from porsche

to 458speciale: about 88K euro

to GT3: about 10K euro + 7K euro for rearview cam and parking sensors (if i can still round up an allocation).

i think i am going to stay with the 488GTB precontract.

Personally for those numbers -- you should get the 458 Speciale. It might be the most money upfront but I bet in the long-run it's much cheaper than the 488 after you factor in depreciation... (assuming history of 430 vs 430 Scud or 360 vs 360 CS) ...not to mention it's probably the last naturally aspirated 8-cyl Ferrari...

I saw the 458 Speciale in Abu Dhabi at Ferrari world and honestly it looks spectacular in the flesh. The carbon highlights on it fixed the disjointed look of the 458 for me personally... If I could afford any car short of a hypercar that's the one I'd get.

I see N/A in the column titled PDK. Why would they place the words manual transmission there at all if not relevant? What does the GT3 tech specs sheet say? (Not at my computer anymore)

Yeah, that's pretty much the difference between my GT3 build and a similar GT3 RS build: about +$41k.

The question is, how much of that would you make back in the futurein depreciation delta?

Silly that Porsche is up-charging for aluminum trim on the GT3 RS if you want it over CF...

Configurator is now up fully on the USA site. No need to change codes or anything and it has prices. Here's my build since personally I think the color options suck: http://www.porsche-code.com/PGBJ2PA0

Price delta for me between GT3 and RS would be about $43K, going with similar equipment. I'd have to go with orange because I don't like any other offered color with those front fender vents. With the GT3, I still like white. I can't see how it's worth $43K more.

So in terms of value, I give the win to the GT4, then GT3, then RS. But if cost wasn't a consideration, I suppose I'd still take the RS.

I know. But I can't get one for love nor money! If anyone of the underwhelmed wants to can their UK allocation please PM me!
