Rockit, if/when you get your RS will you be keeping the GT3?

Used 997 RS's are 50+k more than 997 GT3 in the used market, why would this car be any different.

and its hard to say the small increments in performance gains arent worth it unless you are truly looking for the cheapest way possible on the planet to improve lap times.

just sayin
Ok...you buying one?

Would look good at the vineyard...

No, that will have to go. One 911 is enough....

Yup. Some dealers even advertise themselves as "three pedal Porsche specialists."

The 997 GT3 RS 4.0 becomes even more special now as it should be. The new RS is definitely a cool car. They should have priced it closer to the price of the 991 turbo and not the turbo S.

Does it say anywhere how/if they changed the gearing from the GT3? I assume that they did, but if not the gearing is effectively taller now with a larger rear tire diameter.

Tire grew in sidewall and added an inch for bigger wheel diameter too (305/30/20 vs 325/30/21).

I assume the R&P is changed if not the gear stack.

Yes,judging by history RS should sell higher... Although,I believe as always, production numbers will be key. I have a feeling this RS will come in higher numbers than previous models, but before jumping on me,bear in mind it's just a personal opinion...

Let me help all of you with excessive page difficulties in this thread (and any thread, for that matter).

In your User CP, to the left under "Settings and Options" choose "Edit Options". The main window will list a number of options. Under "Thread Display Options", max out at 40 the "Number of Posts to Show Per Page".

"Save Changes" at bottom of screen.

Presto...now at 151 pages for this thread!!!

i am deciding now but my decision is based on other things than everyone else. i do not care how much it costs over the 991 GT3 and i do not care how much more performance you get for that money. Hell i cant drive either to its potential lets be honest.

for me the factors are:
1:how much i can get for my 991 GT3
2:when the car will be available for me to take delivery

Not going to bend over on my 991 GT3 for anyone, and not for the RS either. so if i can get a number that makes me happy then ill go for it, i already know my RS would be at msrp so im looking for my delta.

Not going for it if im going to take delivery in october which is very possible. Dont feel like staring at another new car all winter again.

90% yes as of now though
Sounds more like 60-70%.

Any who, when are the first allocations being delivered to US?
