FWIW, I actually like this bodyshell more - too bad they couldn't slot the vents in and other aero pieces and be done with it.

The boy racer in me loves them, the conservative adult in me finds them a little tuner-ish... but then again, any car with a wing is right?

Once i see the car in the flesh I will have a better conclusion on them...

No offense, but I'd take them over the red stickers, wheels and fishlips of the .2 RS. Age hasn't improved it either.

We all know Porsche is a "function" over "form" or better said, "form follows function" type of a company. I am certain there are many good reasons for each and every piece of hardware that is integrated into the RS; and us, Porsche lovers, will come to appreciate and love all of it and in the end see everything as "just right" and "positively aesthetic," be it the front fender vents, or the rear vent (if there is one), the big wing, etc.
I see a lot of discussions about RS vs GT3 and whether the RS will be okay as, not necessarily a daily, but a comfortable street ride. IMO, clearly, none of the RS versions have become anyone's daily driver. Porsche's philosophy around RS is to make it a reasonable street car with keeping in mind that most owners end up tracking the car and expecting it to easily compete with "lower class race prepped" cars on the track as well as giving a run for the money of Speciale (Scud, CS) owners of the world (I am a CS owner.) In the end, it's definitely not a "race car" given the weight of the car (yes, >3000 lb is a heavy car for racing) but it's damn close to it. I am sold on it (and the concept), including those vents and the large wing...

I only live 10 miles from work in smooth South Florida but I drove all of them as daily drivers, IMHO if the road is not too bad, I see no downside to daily driving an RS, except for the submarine effect in Thunderstorms...

I guess the ride is reasonable to you then.
I personally don't find the ride harsh; all my cars are lowered with coil overs and larger wheels anyways. But, I don't drive all of them as daily drivers. I don't see a point in driving an RS in traffic...They are definitely awesome "weekend in the twisties" car out here in Northern Cali.

Guys here s my meeting outcome
no kers no turbo ...
500hp @8250 rpm
460mm @6250 rpm
indeed 4.0l and RWS
and keep calm if you can 2.8 kg/hp (3.5kg/hp GT4)
ergo 1400kg
fwheels 20 265mm rwheels 21 325mm
so 40mm wider
front air cuts to avoid air lift
rear wheel air intaker turbo like to
this the best to have a turbo effect on injection system
like it was turbo but indeed no turbo lag no turbo at all
just air compressed more and more faster you go
so expect 525 +hp at 200mph (good right for nurburgring to steal seconds marketing dept happy jurnos too but in dd or short tracks no effect)

that s all

9,000 redline?

How did you get the 3.5kg/hp,, doesnt compute with me! (1400kg : 500hp - That makes 0.36 kg/hp OR 2.66~2.80 kg/hp )

Thanks fxz. I think you mean the rear fender vents create a ram effect to the intake mechanism. This is needed due to teh lack of a rear breathing grill and rear ram air intake under the rear lid on the 991 GT3. Unfortunately it doesnt add 25bhp at 200 mph just as it doesnt add any real power on the GT3 or the new GT4 which also has the same design, but its a nice idea ;-)
