Or launch colors with black interior?
Nobody knows what ultraviolet looks like but seems very bright.
Purple car, seems like a pretty female color.

I'm really on the fence with my allocation as well. I'm #2 at my dealership so I might have a little time to hear what the reviewers are saying but on paper it just doesn't seem enough change for a 45k price bump.

I love my GT3 non RS and albeit maybe for the elite trackers RS will be better, but not me.
GT3 to be honest looks less busy, better color choices and the 15 lb more torque of the 3.9l is nothing anyone will be able to distinguish. I'd keep the GT3 as well. Love the RS wing though.

I do not agree with the general disappointment I perceive here:

Under the performance point of view I do not understand how can we judge a car by a data sheet, here we have bigger displacement, an engine that will rev not higher but will do probably quicker, more power and more torque; about chassis we can find more rubber, wider body, better aero, ptv plus (different from 991 gt3), driving more agility, more grip (and so better braking), less understeer given what we can see on the front axle. We will have also quicker gearbox and shorter final drive than gt3.

Under the economic one it's true this is not that cheap compared to 991 gt3 but if we compare this to previous generation RS?
996, same car, a bit spoiled
997 mk1, same car, a bit spoiled and rear wide body
997 mk2, same car, a bit spoiled, rear wide body plus front, a shorter final drive ratio15hp more from different ECU at the cost of a narrower powerband

Were these RS's a bargain? don't think so...

Looks like the GT3 may hold its value well after the arrival of the RS.

Hats off to Andreas Preuninger's team, they've built another stunning GT car! Very proud.

Agreed Dante, it's just more of the usual GT3 RS recipe....Count me in.

P.S. It's 4.0 (3996cc), not the 3.9 some keep posting.

Silver and white look nice, but a bit plain.

I'm a big fan of the purple, still think the orange is a little guards red.

All this talk about the redline of the car being disappointing. No one said that about the RS 4.0 when it came out with a 200 RPM lower redline than the 3.8L 997.2 GT3 RS. If they achieved the extra displacement in the same way they did with the 997 4.0 then this matches up exactly with what I would expect.

Is Ultraviolet metallic, looks not. They should allow purple with orange interior stiching, pimp FedEx scheme.

I showed the wife the press video at Geneva. She says I need better job to get the RS and might as well own the racetrack or belong to a private club like Thermal because of the almost 200K price tag.

Number chasers are having a tougher time with this car. The reality of the car will be something else.

Except that the GT3 now has bragging rights over the RS. Plus, 9000 is a nice round number which is impressive, while 8800 sounds like it was trying to get to 9000 but fell short. None of this means much in terms of objective performance or subjective driving experience, but perception of numbers like this counts for something with cars in this class.
