Consolidated 991RS thread

Well I know this thread is going to continue to blow up, but am I the only one at least SLIGHTLY disappointed? 3.9 (if that's true) for $40K more. With options over $200k...I just don't see it.
For those with an allocation, I say more power to you and I know you will enjoy the car. For me, I was SOOO hoping for something that would blow me away enough to trade GT3, but that will NOT happen at this point (subject to change later after car reviews). GT3 (based upon RS info thus far) is just too good a car for the money. Period.

Right... based on Swiss site. Could be free on US cars. The Nav option costs money on the GT3 in Switzerland as well while it's free in the US, so it's likely a free option here as well...
TBD once the US configurator goes up!

Seems like that LW battery will fit our 991 GT3's and essentially negate the weight saving of the RS for 2500 bucks versus 50k!!!

man, i love everything about this car except for the wing... i know its functional, and i know it looks right at home on the track, and i know this is a track car.... but for those of us that would see it as also a potential weekend canyon carver, that's just so much wing... the scaffolding i think is what really makes it stand out to me...
Oh, and this picture confirms that the badging on the back is a sticker, not a raised emblem!

Too much emphasis on the board on HP figure. Torque is up; downforce is up, and track is much wider than GT3 both rear and more importantly the front. For track guys; these are significant changes and some almost impossible and/or very costly to achieve aftermarket in GT3; thus negating the idea of buying a GT3 and do aftermarket mods. GT3 RS is a street, but track focused car; that is the philosophy behind it; Porsche has delivered once more. I like it!!

so to have a lower weight we need to buy the light battery (-13,5kg) and the carboceramic (+-14kg ?).
In this case the total saving would be close to 37,5 kg compared to the standard Gt3?
so could the car at the end, weights about 1420 kg (official) minus 27,5 kg (options)?

Hasn't Porsche become very predictable? They pretty much always have, haven't they?
Nothing earth shattering ever.
So much for the 991.2 Carrera S conspiracy theorists who think they'll crank out 500HP on new turbo charged engines in a C2S later this year.

I would also be curious to know the exact configuration used to achieve the 1420kg weight.

Wonder how many GT3 owners will be adding the RS to their garage, not replacing?
For those who were thinking of trading "up" to the new RS, I have to believe there's more pause now based on the new RS' specs and upcharge.
