So the specs on paper are disappointing. I think everyone agrees. However, I still need to reconcile the 'official' comment made a few weeks ago that the RS would see greater separation from the GT3 than previous generations. So...

Well, as someone suggested, I think we need to see what the press has to say. The folks at PAG aren't stupid. They understand expectations and they fanned the flames with the significant bump in price, though it remains a discount to the RS 4.0...

I have my 3 in the garage. I am told I have the #1 slot available in the state. (Only 1 dealer in RI and I guess the single 918 client in RI must have declined to take the toy) So I wait. I wait to see how the car feels, how it drives, how adjustable it is, how the whole package comes together.

I am not about to toss $215k out the window but I remain cautiously optimistic that this car, beyond the paper exercise, will tick a lot of boxes that will make it especially desirable.

Too bad I'm not very patient by nature...

Video shows redline at 9k. Clearly they had problems taking the motor to that limit from a longevity standpoint.

They will sell every last drop of this RS, but I still think it's a mistake pricing it at 175,900. Should have been 150,000. Not worth it as of yet over the standard GT3. Bet it will win all awards though.

Two cool colors the others are boring.

3.9 WTF!!

Wow, huge disappointment in my book...

$40k more??

Well, good news is they will still sell out probably--eventually.

The page is up, but I don't see the configurator (as in 'Build Your Own').

What I do see is manual transmission not available, RWS, and 21" rear wheels confirmed...

Interesting that the GT Silver color is a $0 option on this car, but the orange and purple are the "exclusive" ~$3500 option.

Satin black is an option (glad they got away from that gloss black stuff).

You can get GT Silver or Ora ge stitching, with or without GT Silver or Orange Alcantara inserts. So in the end, you have 3 insert options: the dark grey (GT3 style), GT Silver, or Orange.

The "leather interior" is still an option just like the GT3 (not included in the base price).

Carbon buckets are included. Sofas are a $0 option (rip off!).

PDLS lights and/or LED lights are options. Similar pricing to GT3.

There's a lightweight battery option! Looks pricey (over $2500 on Swiss site)!

Lift is an option.

Navigation is an option and it is not free!! Looks like it's over $3k.

These options are going to add up...

definitely purple with black accents would be my choice.

white with black would be quite motorsport i suppose.

as before, LWBs are standard. unfortunately, that is how it is weighed, hence the 10 KG weigh drop.

4 colors! White, GT Silver (both free), and Orange and Violet (exclusive). Or are you saying only 2 interesting colors count? :P
