Decent price I'd say in today's market, another example where miami blue continues to bring a small premium.

Congrats sir - think you did well here. Feels like a Lizard car would've gotten 10-20k less honestly

Would a DME report with no range 4/5 be better? Sure. Was this one really an issue? No. The dealer that did the report had no concerns with it. Porsche would still CPO a car with that report. From what I saw, the seller fulfilled all requests asked of them. No one asked for a cold start video, likely because it's pointless. Carmine red is a great color but wasn't overly popular nor is it rare. That color alone isn't going to save this sale as you seem to imply. If it had a perfect DME report and slightly less miles maybe it sells closer to $180k. A year ago this car would have got $200k easy.

Some of y'all seem to really be grasping at straws to try and explain away prices that have been declining for almost a year now. It's weird to say the least, especially when looked at against the economic reality.
You're so worked up about this that it's borderline entertaining, and on top of that you're completely missing the point. I am certainly aware that the market is trending down on these cars. My point was that the result was likely a little high, since a car with AMPLE range 4 and 5 ignitions will typically sell for less than one without. No one (including me or you) knows whether there was any damage resulting from that money shift, and that's not really the point. By the way, spinning the engine to 10,500 RPM when it's designed to spin to 9K isn't exactly the nothing burger you make it out to be. The optics of Range 4 and 5 over revs is, and always will be a definitive negative mark on the car, even if it performs flawlessly. It was a good result for the seller.

the BAT 991.1 GT3 RS is now on Autotrader: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...gId=673588496&

BAT: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...911-gt3-rs-28/

Bid up to 165k; reserve not met.
My guess is that seller wants 182k
If you want seller to eat **** and accept 165, may have to wait a few more months for the pain to set in. But in my head, ~170k is already the comp for 991.1 GT3 RS.

Calling the DME a "big" issue is making mountains out of mole hills as nothing about it looked genuinely concerning. Markets are adjusting and have been since last spring. Will be interesting to see if it continues, or perhaps reverses heading into this spring.

From the comments in that auction:
"Car has 392 hours but somewhere around 100 hours somebody missed the downshift and briefly hit range 4 & 5, which is bad, but since it’s run another 290 hours without bad behavior (?) it’s probably fine."

"The over-rev occurred a while ago; I can recall an incident where I downshifted in an emergency. Apart from the service records, I never had any warranty work done on the car – it’s been operating flawlessly since the first day I drove it. When I received the DME report the dealer had no concerns."

"The actual CPO rules state that if a car has minimal over-revs in range 4 or 5, and the the car has had at least 100 operating hours since, it can be CPO’d. 332 ignitions in range 4, and 189 in range 5 is really not a big deal. If it was over 1k ignitions each, then you could say the engine spent significant time in those ranges. The engine spent much less than the blink of an eye in the two ranges, and are really insignificant, hardly worth the doomsday scenario people are projecting here."
Once again, I disagree. DME's with range 4,5 don't help the price, that it. Doesn't matter if its been 1000 operating hours since, plenty of cleaner cars available out there. GT3 buyers can be, how should we say... particular.
Given that, and the 11k miles, I thought the price was pretty darn good for both seller and buyer, imo.

I had a guy tell me he wanted to see the car and bring a paint meter to go over every inch. I told him good luck with PPF on the car lol.

Good results in this market. Continues to prove the right spec and color will bring a premium. Tons of Lizard Greens out there but very rare Miami Blues. Mine has the Weissach Package, $238k sticker and full Dundon Power package. Hopefully when I’m ready to sell it will hold similar value. I also think once the new RSs hit the market, their price will make these look like a good value.

Good thing asking price doesn't necessarily equal selling price. That car will sit. And sit....and sit.....

That sounds about right. And yeah... the buyer actually didn't want WP and was willing to pay a premium for a car without it lol.

Man... MB is the best color. I'm really sad to see this car go, but I'm trying to focus on other things like getting a business off the ground and I'll be moving somewhere where I can't really use a car like this unfortunately. Best car in the world though.

I sold my Miami blue 991.2 gt3rs about a year ago for 24 over and honestly thought that was nuts.

it shocks me the prices are still this high and you got that much.

you did very very well. I mean **** is hitting the fan so hard right now on everything from Rolex’s to houses to cars, so I think you won’t regret it if you have other toys to enjoy in the meantime

I just needed to sell a scud or the Mb rs and if you’ve driven a scud….well imo the rs is a 9.5/10 car but scuds are 11/10 and only car I’ll never sell
