Manual
Chalk, $10k below MSRP, mileage is 20k which may be higher than some would like.

Anecdotally, I started hunting for 991.2 in the 165-180k range. Upped budget slightly and switched to 991.1 GT3RS since I felt there was better value there. Now I am slightly upping budget again since 991.2 GT3RS is basically right there as well.
Would be a daily to the grocery store / pick up food. No track; I can barely find the motivation to leave the house outside of food if I'm being perfectly honest. I just like the sound of cars and how I feel when I am in them 👍🏻. That's why I would have to have bucket seats, for the aesthetic appeal.

I will vouch for JBravo this car is stunning in person. I would not hesitate to buy this car if you are in the market.

Forgive me as I've only been researching for a couple days, but does this sound about right for the 991 era GT cars
991.1 GT3 - best value if you can get over the engine FUD
991.2 GT3RS - second best value, good examples w/ prices $10kish above MSRP
991.1 GT3RS - third best--the ones below MSRP have high mileage, all the good examples are currently still $200kish
991.2 GT3 - I dunno, given the above, I think 991.2 GT3 is in a bubble (euphoria) right now.
Which model are you guys going for? Other than the 991.1 GT3, the other three are all pretty close in pricing with lots of overlap now between each tier imo.991.2 GT3RS - second best value, good examples w/ prices $10kish above MSRP

Easily the best bang for buck is a 991.1 GT3 with a G6 engine. .1’s can be discounted in price because of the engine issues on the OEM E, F and G0 motors but the broad market doesn't know or price in the success of the final G6 replacement. A lot of sellers don’t even know if they have a G6! Also I think the .1 is the best looking front end.

Just adjust the factory coilovers. There's a ton of adjustment available in the rear and a bit in the front. I have my car sitting around 12mm lower as well, very similar to Jbravo23's old car. Fronts are spun all the way down, but I also wouldn't want to go any lower so that's not really a problem.

ive been eyeing that car! It is perfect for me but I’m one of the believers that there are a lot of 2018s on the market and it’s sensible to wait.
I may be wrong, and I may be missing an opportunity on your old car. I’m sure the group appreciates you posting here.
what’d you get to replace it?

The perfect spec/low mile cars will always bring a decent premium. Hope you pull the trigger when you find the right one.
I believe the 991.2 is slated to rise similarly to the 997 rs cars. Reasons: no power door handles, no plastic front bumper, cup car 4.0 engine, no OPF! Lower waistline, prettier front and rear silhouette. Simpler cabin operation, less techy. I had an allocation available on a 992 at 30 over and paid a whole lot more to get both of the 991.2s that I’ve had. Money where my mouth is…
Cheers.
The chalk car has now been sold. Congrats to the new owner!
