This is my 93 C2 in Amazon Green. It is the car in my slick top thread. I decided last year as things were dead to delete the sunroof using the factory panel. Restoration business came to a crashing halt and my friend who restores Porsche's convinced me to take on the project. Once we began business picked up like crazy so the project took far longer than expected. But that is usually the case with projects like these. I didn't like the sunroof or the cashmere carpet so it is getting a new headliner soon and then new black carpet to go with the rest of the black bits and I resealed the engine and removed the rear wiper arm. The car will be in concours condition when done but wasn't supposed to be so perfect. With 60+k original miles it was not the right car to do this to but I figured most people like the slick top so it wouldn't kill the value being done properly as we did.

Hi everybody,
I am looking for a 1992 America Roadster. There are just a few out there. The prices seem to be wild. I have never driven one. I like my 718 Spyder and 997.2 RS. I like the raw nature of the RS and the convertible aspect of the Spyder. I am no longer a track guy so I wondered if the 964 America Roadster might be a good fit for me. The pricing is so wildly varied and seems to be very mileage sensitive. Is $160-$170K too much for one of these cars (even given the inflation)? I could look for the hard top 964 and drive it for a few months and see if it is something I like as much as the RS or Spyder and perhaps pull the trigger on the America Roadster at that time.
Any recommendations from those of you who might have experience with the 964 platform is truly welcome.
Thanks,
Raghu
