Bring a trailer told me yesterday they are not interested in mine because of the miles, 158,800. I told the rep that you show me another 928 you have listed that is more new than mine and could jump in and drive from new york to LA and have no concern about getting there. Greg told me my car was in the $40,000 range. Not many more experts out there with more knowledge than him. Bring a trailer thinks they know more.

Bring A Trailer are being overwhelmed with the number of cars to process and list, so they are becoming or have become very very picky. At any one time, they have over 250+ live auctions to manage.
They also turned down my '87 S4 Manual that had 116k miles. It stung at first being "rejected", I decided to list it on Rennlist and sold the car in less than 24-hours for more than my asking price as I had numerous parties interested in the car. So, you might be surprised at the level of interest listing on this forum in the Classifieds section.

For those not aware, the ability to do an exchange when selling a car ended in 2017, new rules to be aware of:

It will be interesting to see how the 86.5 does compared to @BC auction in 2016:

Fun with auction data. In the last 12 months, eight 1986 911's (non turbo) with 66k miles or less have sold on BAT with an average selling price of $69,113 (highest sold was $86,000 with 9,000 miles and previously owned by Tom Cruise)

Whose slate gray S4 is it on Bat? Just went up - 1991 Porsche 928 S4 for sale on BaT Auctions - ending December 3 (Lot #60,777) | Bring a Trailer; looks like a fantastic car, with some nice touch upgrades (GTS mirrors, etc.)
edit: Never mind - it's Nicole's car. This is a fantastic example. Good luck Nicole

https://formulaauctions.com/ - New from Alberta
https://collectingcars.com/ - New Canadian Biz being run by a local rennlister
https://collectorcarcanada.ca/ - New start up being run by a local 928 owner
I plan on selling my 87 5spd in the spring. I will be returning it to stock (wheels and shifter) and will be listing it on my own purpose-built website. With ads in the various marketplaces. This will allow me to control the content 100% on my own. My car has so much history it could never be captured on any auction site.

Yep, and there are three new auction sites that started up this past summer. BAT's monopoly will soon slow down.

That's the way to do it, Adam.

It's a good time to be selling your Nicole - your car is gorgeous and should do very well for the year/options/miles.
Long overdue. A "D" grade investment is nonsense and I raised that with KM in his BaT thread. (no doubt he ignored it with all of the other BaT "noise"). Considering the relative rarity of these cars, and the desirability in particular of certain models, like early examples, 86.5, GT, GTS and othe special variants, the investment grade should be higher.

The reality of the selling prices speaks for itself. Keith has to wake up to that. If I didn't love my 928s so much I would to see what they would bring today but capital gains doesn't compare to the joy of driving a well sorted 928 or looking an immaculate well preserved original car that can not be duplicated no matter what your willing to spend on a restoration.
