And Rob, you mentioned a Carfax in your listing ... I didnt think Carfax had reports on the pre-17 digit VIN cars. How did you get that?
Hi Dennis- that was a brain fart- I don't have a CARFAX listing, you're right, you can't get one. The car did come with a folder of service receipts covering 2006-2011 that included odometer readings, so I was interpolating from those.

That interior kills it....
No way those seats came with the "Ranger Bass Boat" pattern and even a Lexus RX Floor mat, too

Ranger bass boats copied this interior.
Lexis got their name from those floor mats

@Fox_ - how was your experience with Cars and Bids? I hope you get way more than the current bid. Looks like you're in the Corpus area?

Eh, the audience isn't there. I got about what I expected which isn't much so far.

BAT told me they were choking on 928s when I tried them:

928's are one of the more frequently submitted models to the site and we are inundated with submissions of great examples.

Very similar recent experience....
BaT basically told me the same thing on my '87, they wanted to list my car when the marked "cooled-off"....when exactly is that? Sheeesh
Cars and Bids insulted me with a ridiculously low reserve, that was too much of a gamble, I told them to pound sand. I agree on their audience, they are slow getting off the ground, too much spot light on BaT.
So I listed the car on Rennlist and sold it for my asking price within 24-hours.

I was not impressed with the RL classified.

I had seen this ad before. I think the car has been on the market for a while.

I am not a fan of the after market changes, but that is just my taste. There do seem to be a lot of dealers with "clean" looking, very low mileage early models testing the waters in this $25K - $30K range lately. I think sellers are putting a common premium on low mileage that is not viewed as highly in isolation on this forum, with people here being very aware of age-related maintenance requirements.

If the 19k mileage were real, it would be low given its an OB and that color is rare. But with all the boy-racer mods, its hard to believe the miles. For the sake of the argument, let's just say they've got well documented miles and theyre real but some idiot PO just added all those mods to a 19k mile car. In that very unlikely case, I'd say it is priced about right.

Buried in the text is "we don’t have a lot of history", so anything could be the case from broken odometer to new gauge cluster at some point. I suppose someone could pull a Carfax - and seems cheap of the dealer not to offer one.

I just noticed the last picture shows a photo-copied manual.

This is definitely for a specific type of buyer at a premium price.
