Yes. Here's a picture from a late model sales brochure.
While this is draped leather, note the wrinkles on the side bolsters and lower head rest.

I think this is more of the supple leather version vs. the regular perforated one?

Note - they have now listed preauction estimates of between $110K and $130K. Wow. What do you guys think? I think my car (Blumaxx) is at least half as good as this one (mine has had no restoration done to it). It'll be interesting to see if this silver car comes close to those estimates.

Fascinating. I guess we'll know in less than two weeks. I wonder if 'setting expectations' has effect.

Interesting stuff in that lot. I didn't even know this existed:

I saw this up close at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. At first I saw it from a distance and the lines grabbed my eye. I had to get closer.
A beautiful piece of machinery!

I don’t think it will come close to that estimate. The auction houses including Gooding have been wrong lately, and I like David.

I like your Blumaxx better, but I like unrestored cars.

You might be right^^A beautiful 79 petrol blue OB sold at Scottsdale/Bonham back in Jan for $61k w/fees....yes a far cry from the current estimates above but who knows. A friend who was there said the winning bidder held his hand up from the start and kept it up. Seems he would not have put his hand down know matter what the opposing bid was.

That blue one was nice! I wish I looked at it more closely but pascha mattered to me.

I don’t know why Gooding put the estimate so high. I’ll ask them at some point. I think it’s a mistake.

**SOLD**

Sadly, with a move across several States coming up with too many toys, I unfortunately have to let my '88 S4 auto go.

The car has been owned by myself for the last 9 years and is in good condition overall.

The car has 104,000 miles on the clock. Paint is all original, with a few small chips on the front end and back of the wing mirrors as would be expected from a 30 year old car.

The car has a new pair of rear tires, barely broken in.

I have an X-pipe and a RMB exhaust system on the car, which gives it a that really deep, rumbling V8 growl and is coupled with an Autothority performance chip. (I have the original exhaust too that will come with the car). It has been a great car, solid, reliable and a lot of fun to drive.

The interior leather seats are in overall good condition, with slight wear on the driver's side bolster and a small 1" tear on the rear center console. The front dash is cracked from being in the Texas sun but has a very nice dash cover over it that looks the part. All interior lights have been changed to LEDs in the dash and center console, which was documented on Rennlist. It will come with a new steering wheel cover kit from Classic 9 leather as the original leather is getting a bit old now. Upgraded shift **** and leather boot. Upgraded Bluetooth stereo with powered subwoofer.

Mechanically in good working order. TB&WP were replaced 6 years/8000 miles ago with help from our local 928 club and has the Porkensioner added. A Ritech flexplate clamp has also been added to the torque tube. Radiator lines on the passenger side were replaced 2 years ago along with the sway bar drop links too. Did the trips to SITM & Frenzy previously and the car performed excellently. Windshield has a crack in it, top center, that has been there several years now. Just topped up AC refrigerant and Trans fluid.

Overall this is a good solid example of the 928 S4. Will also come with a few extra goodies and parts.

Asking $14,900 OBO. Located in Cincinnati, OH

Contact me with any questions or to arrange to see the car.
