Well, in the last three weeks I,ve done three thing,s, they say thing,s come in three,s, please Lord "No more "
1st, Fuel gauge inoperative, fault, the wire that controls the fuel level on the tank sender had snapped off, fairly easy once I,d got the sender out and those miniscule nuts released, it was a case of soldering the wire to the upper brass arm/contact.
2nd, The dreaded driver door handle quit, bought a new carrier/bearing for inside the handle, and after a few four letter words had it up and working.
3rd, And the worst job of all three as far as I,m concerned, replace the Odometer gear wheel, which was supplied by no other than Roger "T" thank,s again Roger for your very fast service, U.S to U.K.
As said, please no more !......, well for a while at least![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Last Sunday decided to install the last components of my new Clifford G5 alarm system.
Found a nice place to mount the siren in the front left fender, just above the air-hose for the alternator.
I was able to pull the wire for the siren alongside the bonnet-cable, the rubber gommet also had enough 'meat' to feed the siren wire through it.
Little by little the car is getting nicer and better![rockon](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/rockon.gif)

Successfully swapped out the brake light/pressure switches on my 79 today. What a pain in the a** for me and my gorilla hands... patience, patience....

Drove her to the Spa-Francorchamps track to see the Spa classic ( classic endurance race cars with cars like ferrari 250's porsche 917 935 chevrons and lolas and f1 cars from the eighties). On the way back drove in convoy with ferrari dino 246 and 412. I was able to outperform the 412. Also in gas mileage I presume... And purchase price. Hehe. :-)

It was the first time the event was set up. It's by the same organisation as the le mans classic. Good fun and nice relaxed atmosphere. You can get close to all the nice cars in the pit box area and talk to the mechanics and drivers.
