So what did you do to your 928 Today......

Replaced the Fan Shroud. Some hack cut out the sides of the original shroud so they could remove the unit without disconnecting the Transmission cooler lines. This was causing the car to marginally maintain temp because of leakage. Had to remove more stuff than anticipated to get the replacement shroud in. There was blood.
How far up would your temp gauge go?

@bwmac,
Your engine looks nice, what is the center part of the intake painted with?
Is it just reflection or is there blue overspray on some parts??
Cheers

I added some blue and copper anodized metalcast paint to give it the hot chrome exhaust pipe look. Not sure it worked.

Newly refinished cam boxes for my OB track car.
These are off an '84 (as is the 4.7L short block that is going in to replace the 4.5L), but will be carrying the stock OB cams.

Re-installed my rear shocks after tear down, clean, lube, height adjust, and reassemble. Cleaned wheels wells with Simple Purple - looks so much better, but a lot of work none-the-less. Any idea why the driver front was so much worse than the others? Still need to make another pass over that one. Hope all are having a great weekend!

Shoved the boot down and out of the way, and cleaned the evaporator with a shop vac, some extensions and fittings, a nylon brush, and mostly Purple Power and a garden hose and sprayer. Cleaned up quite nicely, and all the water went down the evaporator drain like it should. Not that hot here today, so I can't tell for sure if the cooling is better, but the air flow seemed better when I took a test drive.

Replaced my cat-delete setup with the cats I got from Rod U (thx again Rod!) so I can get plated here in Tennessee.
Installed the FOTE injectors. Not nearly as hard a job as I thought it would be and not a single leak. It runs and idles so much smoother now. I can't wait to get out on the highway in the morning to see how it feels wide open.
Reinstalled the AC belt that walked off the pully 2 hours into my 5 hour drive in the heat Saturday. Installed a different bolt/nut on the tensioner so it hopefully doesn't happen again.
Pulled my driver's seat and fixed all the connectors under it so my mirrors and seat will stop re-adjusting themselves when my butt hits the wrong spot in the seat. :-)

Changed the oil in the GT today for the first time in 23 months. But then, it had only traveled 2055 miles in that time. Oil looked pretty good....
Good to have both cars at the house at the same time:

Drove it, I like it...
I had my automatic transmission (4th gear) fixed last week.
Now I am just enjoying how this 84 handles as a 75 mpg freeway commuter car. Here it is parked next to the bmw I just picked up as a daily driver- I think I am keeping the miles low on the BMW while I put lots of miles on the 928. This is the only way I will learn more about the car, how it's running, what needs work, etc..

Fixed intensive washer pump.
Removed grill, fan shroud, electric fan guard, air cleaner/plenum & hood to faciliate access for AC flush / rejeuvenation on 86.
On the fence re: 134 v. 12. Have both, not sure which way to go. More reading to do.
