I have repeatedly said, and will say again, that people like Bill are just as deserving of an LM, if not more so, than I am.

Ketchmi, I appreciate your kind comments - but I would never want to devalue or underestimate what Bill and others like him contribute to this website.

He is very deserving.

It was not my intention to slight or overlook any of the other folks on this forum that contribute their time and resources. We are all very fortunate to have all of the aforementioned people and businesses around. I just felt that the spotlight should be shone on a person that makes 928 ownership viable for a lot of people in the Norcal area and to some extent everywhere else. Bill gives of his time and skills willingly and really without any expectation of getting anything in return for it. He just loves working on these cars apparently, and has the space, tools and know how to do it. We are all better for it.

A lifetime membership for Bill Ball, in recognition of his service to the community, would be a great way for Rennlist.com Inc. to say thanks to him.

How did I miss this thread? I don't think I've ever met a nicer, more helpful, completely selfless guy. I'd be without a 928 if not for his tireless work and encouragement.

Also quite a strong stomach, as I've discovered. It can't be easy to look at knock counts and air/fuel ratio in Sharktuner on a laptop screen as we try to hit 7110 rpm at the top of 4th gear . . . at wide open throttle.

He's the best. Lifetime Membership is the least we could do.

Bill is an excellent steward. If I didn't have to work to pay the bills, I'd like to think I'd play as Bill does. There's a lot of what I like to call "psychic income" derrived from sharing your passion for these cars with others.

I "get it."

So does Bill, drbob, Jim B, Wally, Louie and many others on this list.

Thanks, but it was easy.....those are just the tip of the ice burg. I started looking for one of my own "thank you" quotes toward Bill and was amazed at the sheer number of positive comments and thank yous directed toward him for his forum help, personal assistance, and generosity.

I must join in with $10 too. I am still driving around on the TB/WP Bill installed in my car. I thought I would help, but ended up watching him do most of the work. Who's collecting??

Ron it is looking like the Owners of Rennlist are considering making an award to Bill for all his contributions to the success of this forum. That would be a very nice recognition of the fact that without such input there would not be any technical forum just a bunch of questions and NO ANSWERS !
