There's plenty of display parking right in front of the picnic area and the local gendarmes are usually cooperative.

Berkeley? Are you serious? Won't there be major protests over the use of the 928's gas-guzzling V8 engines?

No, the only problem we had was that the park police suspected we were terrorists and that Tom Cloutier's Powerbroker exhaust and was part of a nuclear reactor. They didn't have a clue about the cars.

We just tell them someone is speaking harshly to a tree on the other side of the park, and off they go.
