Spencer, I did some sound deadening with my stereo upgrade.

Yes, I(my sons) own a kick-@$$ corvette race car. Don't be hatin'
Presently I am doing a low-buck version, not dynamat or the asphalt alternatives, but something sort of similar that Corvette guys are a fan of.

Will share results if they are positive...

SpeedyS2, how did you cleanly apply the red paint to the letters on the valve cover?

Default lighting

Installed my hella e-code headlights and fixed a ground issue with driver's side foglight. Will aim the headlights tonight when dark.

Thanks morghen. Good point, maybe opening them up when getting everything else sorted. Have actually been thinking opening up the front rockers more to get reduced pressure in front. At least thats what they do at LeMans!

I did this last week, but installed a voltmeter in place of the AC control ****, with matching LED backlighting:

The old AC **** was a HUGE pain to get out. Lots of plastic snipping. The voltmeter is from a 924. If anyone has a 944 voltmeter (yellow needle and numbering) and wants to make an easy $20, PM me

Torqued down the oil pan yesterday and ordered 100mm rear studs, called webcams and found out they can grind down my ridiculous camshaft to their standard performance grind. I can't use this camshaft I have because it would destroy the lifters and I can't afford solid lifters. Darn thing has .495" lift. Today put on the crossmember, power steering rack, engine mounts, heat shields, connected the control arms, starter, took off the engine hoist, found some top side leaks.

I replaced my cam chain tensioner pads, plugs, wires, cap and rotor on the 87S..

Had a heart attack when I dropped a small allen key and it fell down inside one of the oil return holes..

Thankfully, some magnet fishing recovered it..could have turned in to a huge pain in the neck.

Next up will be installing my reconditioned fuel injectors in to my turbo..
