I'm planning to. Everything rubber in the suspension/steering system is being replaced. Ball joints, tie rod ends, rack bushings, caster blocks, etc are all going in the trash and being replaced or upgraded. That'll be a while though... All the suspension stuff I want to get adds up to over $3000 and I don't have a job at the moment

I don't see this car being on the road until at least next year

been too busy to post.

excited about the progress.

NC951guy Attempted to install that tasty looking 3x cooler, but it is going to require way more mods than I expected.
ordered a 3X for my 951, so have not had the pleasure of starting that installation. ironically decided to do this as the stock oil cooler is in the way of my plans for 3" front brake cooling ducts.

will be interested in your results.

in brief, got this 951 project car, PO had just installed a different long block. after months of being distracted by my 930 clone project, finally got serious and hoping to have done in a few weeks. will already miss the first DE event at MidOhio this weekend.

what I got - top pic

current state - second pic- ISV hose not run correctly - fixed.

LR 3" and dual port WG (thrid pic - I know, wrong gasket, correct copper on the way.)

rebuilt / repainted calipers - fourth pic. not shown new MC and clutch master.

My 944 is left at home while I'm at school til summer - dad says he'll work on it for me and for sure get my AC running, thank the lord!

Meanwhile, a really flattering pic of it was taken from an iPhone at the local car show

While replacing the chain tensioner pads, I took to opportunity to replace the valve cover gaskets and sent the cover off for powder coating.

Purely cosmetic, I know, but I'm very happy with how it came out. Maybe some red plug wires now?

SpeedyS2, The black looks nice but it kind of disappears because of the dark color. I think the red plug wires would really make it stand out and look amazing.

Spencer, I did some sound deadening with my stereo upgrade.

Yes, I(my sons) own a kick-@$$ corvette race car. Don't be hatin'

Agreed. I wanted it to be a bit understated, but I do think the red plug wires would look great.

Nuthin' wrong with a Corvette...
