I did lots of cleaning of bits prior to reassembly.
I've been rather lazy of late and haven't gotten much done (It's no fun working on the car on your own)
I love my pressure washer. This took about 3 mins:

Found the source of my coolant leak- the connection between the hose and radiator right above the thermofan switch. Do you guys recommend using a 50/50 pre-mixed coolant or just mixing 100% coolant with distilled water?

I painted my camshaft housing, the bracket at the end of the cam housing, the end cap for the camshaft housing, cam sprocket housing, the bolt plugs for the camshaft housing, intake manifold, and throttle body. I am quite pleased with how everything came out.

yesterday I sorted my speedo/odo woes.
this morning, no better way to spend a Saturday than doing more car stuff!
Removed engine guard to do an oil and filter change at some point this weekend. I didn't feel like crawling on the drive at home, all my axle stands are being used, so I took it to work. Had a quick look over the underside. It seems the cable ties on both my power steering boots aren't doing anything so will put on new ones. After the oil change I will steam clean the underside.
I wanted to make a cardboard template for a new forward guard/splitter but got rained out.

From: one thousand, five hundred miles north of Ft. Lauderdale for the summer.
drove her from Dallas to San Antonio to Daytona and finally in Ft. Lauderdale.....
timing belts/bs belts/H20 pump done at 62 k miles...... H20 pump failed about 20 miles before reaching destination in Daytona.
Ryan Kennedy (Kennedy Motorsports) discovered that it would be necessary to replace all the timing system's rollers. as they were also toast.....
the belts were pristine and prolly could have gone another 60 k.
the Gates belts with improved rubber formula totally rock !!
pulled the front Dunlop 9000s off the car.
front right.... deep holes with torn belts exposed and a long beltline totally shredded..... how did it not blow out ?
left tire not much better @ 87 k miles. yes, 87,000 miles since install 4 and a half years ago.
i got the 2 fronts (225-40-18) and 3 rears (275-35-18 which i've been rotating) for 70% off on closeout from Tire Rack....
one of the rears rotated to the non-power side a few years ago also has 87 k miles and is completely bare.
*so when is belt/roller change time ? when the H20 pump blows up !!!

i see you have a trusty little helper
Mine is more concerned about hunting smaller animals when outside or slacking on the bed spying on the window when in the house.
On the topic of what i have done to the 924, gave it the weekly(while in storage) start and warmup and enjoyed just staring at it for a while

While removing my exhaust I needed something to prop it up so it wouldn't fall on me. A tall box and a piece of wood weren't enough, but luckily I had my Haynes manual handy! Who says the Haynes manual isn't helpful?
