it looks like a sheet of plastic you can pick up from a local hardware store. or fiberglass, you can buy it in squares.

Not sure how he kept the top(lid) on. those rubber bits can be bought from a store that sells rubber. we've got a "Clark Rubber" in australia, you might have something similar.

Time to do it right and buy a stock airbox k&n and use the aluminum ducting from stock box down to fender... Ug.
That's actually not too bad, Butters. It was a good idea, and you followed through. Just because it didn't work, doesn't mean the experimentation was bad.

Turns out it WASN'T rubbing on anything. I'm stupid.

Didn't throw it out so might redo it with more effort sometime.

Well, don't do that

The first (And for me, the hardest) step is: before you can solve a problem, you have to understand what the problem is....and for the stock air box, there is no problem. It will out flow what the NA engine can even ingest.

Just find one from someone selling, and stick it on there lol.

I'll give you a for effort, and creativity.... but for functionality...you're fired

Replaced my temporary rear quarter panel trim with a pair from Lart. Replaced the yellow gauge cluster with a white on black set from a 924 - for the tacho you need to pull out the power (red) and earth (brown) and signal (solid green) from the 944 plug. Pins on the 924 gauge are marked 12 (power) - (earth) and 1 (signal). Easy. But don't recommend doing it with the car running.

Made up a fire extinguisher bracket. Made up front swaybar brackets from steel. Yet to install those.

I'm still getting squeaks from the rear tires over bumps.

Drove from Sydney to Orange and back (stayed the night in Orange).

Car ran great, but getting a little too warm for my comfort. Going to bench test the thermostat and backflush the radiator.

Reinstalled the passenger window motor, glued down carpet on door pocket, re-aligned bonnet to fit properly again. Stuck little Nordschlieffe sticker on rear screen! Bound to make it go faster.....

Over the last few days, I replaced the fuel jumper line and fuel injector seals. I also replaced all of the coolant hoses. They still looked and felt great but I haven't changed them in the 12 years that I have owned the car and felt it was about time.

BB.
