Thanks!

I had to pull the club sport motor back out. Was having low oil pressure. In the long chapter of never-trust-anyone-to-do-what-you-ask-of-them, I discovered that in the process of stroking the crank, the crank guy turned both the mains and rod journals to first undersize, even after I instructed him to make sure everything was standard before proceeding with modifying the crank. Like an idiot, I assumed he did what I asked. Not so. Mains and rod journals on BOTH of my stroker cranks turned out to be undersized.

Fortunately, there is no damage to the engine. I have a set of .25 OS main bearings on the shelf, and a set of rod bearings on the way. So I should be able to get the motor back together as soon as the rod bearings arrive. Then I can complete the TMCC installation and book time at the dyno.

Ordered some clear turn signals, and new oem hood struts for the S2 Cab.
Next order of business over winter is all the fluids, waterpump/t-belt, etc.

Just had a butthole puckering moment. I was inspecting my chain tensioner the other day and noticed that there was a spot on the edge of it that looked like it had a tube going to it at one time. Well i was just looking at other cars on the net and there was. My j-tube has been broken for who knows how long. Jebus. I drove the **** outta that thing for a year with a half lubed tensioner. The pads look ok (complete assembly replaced 30k miles ago) but i'm glad i caught it.

I could not stand the rear hatch not holding open any more.

I have had the new hatch struts sitting there for a year - so at the risk of glass and hatch other issues - on they went.

They are stiff, but I am taking it easy on shutting the hatch.

One of the electric contacts on the right side, the front most one, had the wire pulled out. Had to carefully work with that. I am going shopping for the part to replace it with.

Today, I picked up a freshly rebuilt lt1 with a few upgrades, painless wiring harness, new ecu, and a few other additions.

It was a good day =)

Awesome work ideola. We see hardly any budget motor work for the 2.5. I wish I had a 2.0 so I could do stuff like this. Have you ever driven a stroked n/a 924?

It was from Oriley's, wheel paint bronze. I did two coats of the bronze both sides and two coats of clear on the outside

Edit: Dupli-Color was the brand I used. High performance wheel coating
