Seeing it's winter and salted roads over here, after over a month of being tucked away in garage, I just needed to start it up.

Started her up today to let it warm up, watch the fans go, etc. T'was a warm 6 degrees here today.

Tried to remove the header panel (I thought it was the apron) but no luck. Nuts in headlamp wells came out with ease as did the rear screws but it seems to be happy right where it is...

I hope so I feel like I haven't gone for a drive and open her up in forever! (it has only been a month)
Although before the clutch went out I did shave the head and replace all the gaskets so I suppose the rewards are coming up pretty soon.

Also I want to now live where you do. Simply stunning video. Early in the video was that a one way street? I didn't see any dotted lines. If so that is an epic drive. If not still pretty awesome none the less.

I would like to take the 951 for a little run.

Then take the wheels off and get the brake calipers refinished, and maybe the wheels off the refinisher too.

But it has been raining every darn day down here .

Dunno where purple comes into this but I was thinking yellow. As for the 50°C, its more like 45°C and its not that bad actually, but I'm use to it I guess.

As for the car found out that it has some early 90`s custom coil covers that's why its such a harsh ride. I'm going to get them out and tested to see if I just need to go to a softer spring or do a complete new setup.

From Australia's Bureau of Meteorology:

The Bureau of Meteorology's interactive weather forecasting chart has added new colours – deep purple and pink – to extend its previous temperature range that had been capped at 50 degrees.

And you're welcome to send some of that heat my way. Hmm, maybe you already have as it will hit 10C tomorrow. So much for the Great White North, eh?!

Mountain Rd is pretty cool. its not the main way to get to Scenic Drive, which runs the ridge line of the Waitakere Ranges. It carries traffic that goes both ways but turns into a bit of a goat track single lane. traffic going both ways have to go around the corners very carefully until it widens out again! I havent driven it for a few years even though its 15 mins away. The condition of the road is much better than it used to be.

Thanks for that! I've always loved the way that the scenery plays across the crystal green metallic as you drive along.

Funny story, when I was about 10 I think, my Mom had two job offers, one in Washington state, and the other in Auckland, NZ.... She took the one that resulted in me looking at some muddy re-frozen snow right now instead of that beautiful place... Hrm...

Also, you've got some talent when it comes to video/audio editing.. Really a very well done video.
