Converted my sunroof from power to manual. One of the lifting cables broke, so now I have a manual roof.

I worked until 1:30am on my power steering rack, doing the re-seal. Got it finished and back up in the car, and maaaaaaan is it ever going to be nice. Steering already feels much tighter than before. Cant wait to feel it in action.

And to J1NX3D, as far as your PS leak goes, check the top of the pump casing right at the top mounting/pivoting bolt. I had a mysterious ps leak for close to 2 years that I could never track down. Always had me baffled, until I took the pump off one day, and seen a hairline crack in the casing, around the top mounting bolt. Changed the pump out and, voila, no more pump leak.

I pushed and shoveled 11 inches from my drive way today. Does that count?
I also bid on a pair of 928 front fenders that I hope to modify ad install on my 944 as part of a pop up headlight delete and extreme wide body project. How wide is too wide? I need the width to accommodate wider wheels and to vent the totally enclosed liquid metal cooled traction motors I am designing for each of the four wheels. They will add 100Nm ( 75 Ft/lbs. ) torque at each wheel and an equal amount of braking horsepower. Any thoughts on a new nose design for the nose ? all lights will be flush mounted in the 928 front fenders. I have a rear 928 bumper cover and brace that I want to match up to a pair of widened and vented 944 quarter panels . I need to procure a pair of 944 rear quarters as my are damaged.

Hammered out the rear passenger quarter panel. Crap ton of bondo came off from the previous owner. Now tomorrow I just need to touch it up and paint her.

Measured my con rod bearing tolerances using the old school method: Plastigage!

Edit: Note that my bearings are fine as are the journals. The car's never had a bottom end rebuild before and has done over 200,000km.
Last owner was a ham-fisted hoon too.

Did some body work on the rear quarter and painted the lower half of the car. I like the two tone Need to do the rear bumper and front bumper now. Enjoy the before and after pics. (before pics are before I painted my wheels but the damage has been the same since I bought the car)

As cool as that would be, why not start wth a 928? They have a crazy ton of room to work with under the hood and in the back

That looks awesome! After seeing your pictures, I ordered a kit for my 944 and it arrived yesterday. If you wouldn't mind answering a few questions I have before I install it tomorrow. Where do the screws go on the bumper? Is drilling required? Thanks!

The screws kinda go in the best spot you think for the lip. Just go slow because the lip edge is not very thick at all. I put a total of 9 screws in 3 on each side and 3 in the front middle. Pretty much anywhere I thought it need extra support. (corners, where it curves, and the middle). I just used a screwdriver of the screws provided and it went right in. I couldn't figure out a way to use the big washers provided because our bumper edge isn't very big. The plastic is soft enough for the screws to go in easy. One more thing where the bumper curves makes sure to cut a v shape into the lip so it mounts correctly otherwise it looks bubbly. Hope this answers your questions.

Edit: On a side note the other day I took a dip a little too hard and my front 3 screws ripped through the rubber because I didn't use the washers. So take it slow on those bumps and dips. Although it did hold up well before that at 100+mph on my test run.
