Sewed A pillar covers, recovered and re-fitted the A pillars.
Refitted front head-liner bar and sun visors.
Re-installed sun roof latch inserts, and microswitch.
99% finished sunroof retrim - need a little finishing.
Sewed B-pillar covers. Yet to install.
Car is now grey alcantara across the roof, nearly done.
Expanding foam into speaker hole of spare dash, shaved back flat and sanded.
Same for two outside air vents (they suck anyhow).
Cut holes for new air vents in centre.
Laminated dash with Dynel and polyester resin - good job in places, poor job in other. May have to sand a lot of it off, but the idea was just to add structure to the surface to stop cracking.
The plan is to sand it completely smooth, prime it, sand it, spray it body colour.
Wish I'd taken more pics, but resin and cameras don't mix.
Back to the day job today.
Still to do -
Install B Pillars.
Cover rear quarter panels.
Finish dash.
Remove and refinish centre console.
Remove and refinish door panels.
Cover Wheel.
Dye carpet.
Make thin alcantara trunk liner.
Cover seat delete.
Install dash.
Remove and refinish handbrake.
Will get around to starting a thread some time...

Nothing crazy, just replaced front wheel bearings. First time I've done it on an aluminum hub without putting the hubs in the oven... girlfriends are great, but not so tolerant of putting car parts where food goes
New bearings are much harder to install in cold hubs

got asked if it was a ferrari at the gas station by some high school aged kids. evidently car knowledge is going down the tubes.
i also gave my STI owning neighbor a short ride and let him drive the car. he was very impressed with how well it would bite into turns.

i was changing the oil in the 968 and pulled the coil wire off of the distributor cap to gain better access to the filter... what comes out but a stream of rust!! no wonder ive had a relatively shaky idle... ordered all new cap, rotor, plugs and wires from pelican...
it seems the metal contact completely turned to dust and spark was still flowing through what is now a tube of rust...
whats funny is i replaced the wire and it fired right up again like nothing had happened... guess there was enough rust in there to keep a connection

through gears. the NA trans car goes ahead off the line because of a shorter diff ratio, but i was able to pull ahead (albeit not by much, maybe 1 length) likely because of longer gearing (42 in 1st, 72ish in 2nd for the turbo vs ~34/57 on NA)

I wiped off the brake dust from the wheels that was deposited there from my new rotors and Pagid pads. Aired up the RE11's to the gnat!
Then I ordered some other new parts
. And even more new parts. Including an idle stabilzer valve as it seems my idle has started the hunting up and down thing. Grrrr.
Next up headlights and new struts. New paint on the calipers etc.
Thought about a new turbo and chip. Thought about selling it. Went for a short drive. Back in its place and under the cover.
