ahh yes good call. just using the browser. I'd heard the app sucks so i didn't even bother. The browser is pretty functional, theres just no way to pick a specific page on multiple page threads unless its the very last... hasn't been an issue yet though and i can always do it the old fashioned way.... online...

 

That sucks. I'm waiting for the day when that hose starts leaking. Looks like a real beeoch to replace.

 

decided to track down my windshield wiper screech... sprayed the motor down with PB blaster to no effect and sprayed the links in the arms(not the blade arms) to no effect... decided to tap the motor with a wrench while it was making the noise to see if that cleared it up... well it didn't, my wipers stopped working entirely...

ugh. starting to get too dark out, this will be a job for tomorrow... i hope...

 

Thanks MHR it's been a work in progress..I'll add some more pics..soon just redid the interior..exhaust,donor speedo cluster from a S2...long list of other mods on the way..

 

My replacement drivers side fog light lense arrived! So I put it in while enjoying some nice warm weather with the garage door open...until the monsoon arrived, and leveled massive trees on my street and in my own yard. The Porsche is dry though. Now I need a NEW toy! A chainsaw!

 

Got it all back together again... looks sweet except the strut tower brace won't fit until I invest in some 968 Nology spark plug wires. The S2 set I currently have make the aluminum cover ride too high for the tower brace to clear. Oops.


Oh, almost forgot... it won't start now. My guess is there's a ground I forgot to re-connect. I'll look into it tomorrow. Too tired to deal with it tonight and, if I tried, I'd probably make it worse.

 

Today we intalled a 3.5 inch exhaust w a Magnaflo muffler...sounds great ...getting her ready for the Lindsey larger turbo kit ..hopefully over the next 2 weeks..p.s has anyone done the 968 rearbumper conversion...sorry ,I'm a Newb..I searched but could'nt find anything..I like the kit from Deutsch Nine...thanks in advance

 

Just wanted to show some pics of my project...new carpet..redid seats...she's a work in progress

 

Broke something in the trans that i put in last weekend...then i kicked it (in the fender that i dented/scraped last weekend...yeah!).

I'm pissed. I spent all Easter weekend swapping trans', i swapped the early lsd trans out for a 86 turbo trans i pulled out of a car in a junkyard, that trans wouldn't go into gear and had some interesting problems (read: it was broken), so i pulled that one back out and put the original trans in. On my drive down from PA yesterday i noticed some pulsation in the trans (shifter) when i was slowing down (clutch in, trans in 4th, lower speeds) and today i went to accelerate in first and it seemed like the thing was spinning tires, went to shift to second and it wouldn't go in, made a horrible racket for a bit, then went quiet and the car just would not move...fun day!

 

Put in white guage faces, put in red dash lights and got the tach working while in there.

Did the "944 2nd Taillight" mod, can't believe I never ran across it before last night. So simple, so easy, feeeling so stupid.

I did it a little different. Used one spare taillight assemblyand used the sockets from the turn and brake lights. had to shave a little plastic from the housing, but now much brighter second tail lights.

Decided last night to paint it flat twilight black metalic instead of artic white.

Trying to decide whether to put in some vinyl paint black seats or some red and black ebay special sport seats.

Made a 'office chair' out of a Porsche seat from the parts car....now the official 'need for speed'playing chair.

dude, a trans swap takes like an hour start to finish with a 10 minute beer break in the middle

 

I got my sunroof functioning again. The aluminum rod had bent and allowed the motor gear to spin without spinning the drive wire. Now I need to figure out why the arms don't retract enough to remove the sunroof. I know the microswitch is bad and the only way to replace it is to remove the sunroof. I figured that would be a job best tackled inside a garage.

First time no.....after that yes; once you get past the voodoo factor it isn't bad at all.

Maybe it was his first time....like sex only in reverse.
