Pulled the fans, getting ready to install an aftermarket....Can anyone tell me what aftermarket model/size fan they have used on their 944 with success? I have an NA 1984.

Went to Memphis this weekend to help with the NASA-Midsouth event. Since the race car is not ready, I took the 968 up did a few laps and drove home today.

Technically not today, but i didn't have enough time in the last 2 days to update sooo:
Monday i drove home from Pennsylvania with 2 transmissions and a torsion tube assembly in the back of the truck, ate lunch, did some chores, then at 7:35 i jacked up my car and started pulling the trans out, because my ring and pinion decided to give up the ghost and the car has been sitting for the last 3 months . I had the trans out by 8:35 (yes it took me exactly 1 hour to pull the trans from jacking the car up to wheeling it out on the jack). Then the thunderstorm hit so i had to bust *** to put all of my tools away before everything got soaked.
Yesterday morning I got going on the trans swap at about 9:45. Filled my new turbo trans with Mobil 1 synthetic 75w-90 fluid and started working on getting it bolted up and in. Had the trans completely in and the car sitting on the ground by noon, and it was HOT AS HELL outside so i was glad to be done. Went inside, cooled off, and then went for a DRIVE!!! First time since 2 weeks after Easter when the diff just decided to let go on me. The new trans is the best shifting trans i've had in the car, it doesn't make any noises, I'm tickled!
Then yesterday afternoon i compounded the car, because the poor thing had to sit outside for those three months, the paint was all dirty....the compound didn't do a real great job, so i may need to break out the power buffer and go over a couple of panels real lightly to get the stains out...but other than that the car cleaned up really nicely!

yes, it is on the road again, still need to fix a little problem i have with one of the cv bolt flanges, but hopefully Doog and i can get that straightened out today or sometime when he has the time (I'm scared of it...honestly)
Yes it is time for suspension and brakes, these things take time! And if you want me to come to Aaron's place sometime you should call me ahead of time. Oh and by the way, i did get your message last time, but i got it the next morning...I NEED A NEW PHONE!

Finally fixed my hatch release. Now I don't have to pull on the sweet shoe strings that I tied to the release wire to open the hatch. I was a little worried there for a few weeks. Before I did the 968 handle conversion and fixed my hatch, I only had one working door handle to get in from the outside. I would have been toast if that handle broke
Thanks to Cris Brady for getting the part to me. Looks like hes about to crush his parts car, so get on it if you need anything from him

Mine almost went back to it's Porsche roots yesterday. The Quick release (I think I figured out why they are called that) fitting on the supply fuel line popped off 1/2 way and pumped about 5 gallons of fuel into the engine bay, flooding the drivers shock tower, intake manifold and valve cover. How the drivers header didn't light it up I don't know (except for it was probably way too rich to catch fire). Ordered a new more robust setup.
