I went through the install and unlocked Navigation and WLAN (wooo). Navigation looks good as I have carplay so the antenna was already there. However, when I try to connect my phone to the car and load up the track precision app, it just sits there asking me to connect to the wifi. Car/phone don't seem to recognize they are connected. Is there another update/step I need to do to fully enable that talk? If it matters when I did the original install and it showed me the summary screen, all the rows were marked with [-] and I hit continue. Was I supposed enable them all to Y?

If you see the WLAN then you can use TPA. You should connect your WiFi to the car. Your phone has to be plugged into the USB port too.
I'm thinking it's my SD card. Tried the partitioned 64gb, would never load even after 2 min. Found a 32gb card at home. Formatted to Fat32 and unzipped folder to it. Loading in the car. Waited 3 min. Nothing. Came on here to report and saw one of the last threads said wait maybe 10 min. Tried that, nothing. Went back and selected Car/Media. Now in Developer mode. Go to software update and shows SD1, SD2, USB. All are greyed out, like it doesn't think anything is in SD1 slot. Put the 64gb card back and selected software update again. SD1 is still grayed out.
64gb card is Lexar. 32gb is sandisk.
Only problem now is I don't know how to get out of developer mode.

Push and hold CAR to get out. are these microSD cards?
And when you unzipped the folder, onto the root of the card, not into a folder right?
Eventually I figured it out. Regular SD cards. Unzipped the folder onto the root of the card. But all the files are in the MH12_US_POG11......folder on the SD card. Am I supposed to take all the files/folders in the MH12 folder and place those on the root of the SD card rather than them being in the MH12 folder?

Yes, the files should be extracted onto the root of the SDcard, not into a single folder... the file structure should resemble the image in the post above that I showed the Swdlautorun example. (post # 726)
That was the problem. Took about 30 min and all installed now. Will try the map update tonight. Thanks for all your help.
For others with a 718 I'd suggest watching the 911 install video vs the 718. I had originally watched the 718 video, assuming it was car specific. During the install I could only find the 911 install video on my iphone, while I sat in the car. I thought it was much more detailed than the 718 video.
Yup did all the above, but phone and car just sit there waiting for the other to connect
Just to be clear, your phone needs to be connected to the WiFi hotspot being generated by the car (PCM), that SSID can be found on the PCM as well as the password for connecting.
Now that I have nav installed. To update the maps, I download P336_N60S5MIBH3-NAR-2023-2304. Unzip to the root directory on my SD car. Insert in car and go to the Software update option on the PCM? Will I need to select Mib1 or Mib2 or will the car know which one to select by itself.

Cool I didn't even know that version was available! Extract the files to the root of the SD card, put the card in SD1 and uses the PCM screens to initiate the map database update and you should see SD1 as the only selection not greyed out.
