It doesn't, that is simply FUD, the MIB process simply enabled factory options already existing in the firmware and that includes NAV, heck a lot of those who did this discovered that the NAV Map database was preloaded from the factory.

Firmware enablement of features in a computer-controlled system has been around for many years, this is no different.

Just took delivery of my 24 CGTS 4.0. I had 1100 miles to drive home so using my samsung phone with Android Auto after successfully flashing via M.I.B AIO sd card (and following the steps correcting) - worked like a charm! Thank you all for putting this thread and instructions together

Quick Question: I know you have to be careful when installing this on a system with Bose, but what about Burmester? I haven't seen anything mentioned so I imagine it's fine but just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Should be fine with either sound system, and regarding Bose, there is no extra care needed, simply do not enable that option, besides it is greyed out by default.

I've got my SD card ready to roll to run the AIO to enable NAV on my 2022 BGTS.

Quick question: what's the file name and the location of the latest map update?

When I go to the MIB Solution github directory under maps, I didn't find P87_N60S5MIBH3-NAR_NT_3.21_2022-23.7z anywhere, which I read above is the latest map update. Can someone point me to where it's or the more current maps are?

I downloaded MHI2_US_POG11_K5186_1_MU1476_AIO_20220723.7z. Haven't used it yet but it is copied to an SD card ready to go.

Awesome, that is the one I have used since it came out, you should be golden! Remember to have a charger on the battery, if you haven't reviewed the how to video it is worth it.

is the SD card intended to then remain in the slot forever ; are the maps read from there or did they get copied in? do people leave the SD card in their car inserted?
