Friend called a bunch of West Coast Dealers(he’s in LA) last week and not a single one with a real allocation on a Spyder was willing to go below 20k. He ended up going with a dealer in LA for 18k. There aren’t many real Spyder allocations available.

Never a Porsche owner, no relationship with my dealer, and I received my GT4 allocation @ MSRP within 1 week after siting down with my SA - ETA on my 23' GT4 72 days. This dealer gave me a choice between an immediate build, or one in April (this date if I wanted PTS)... so, they were sitting on 2 (now minus 1), and I'm going to assume there is a high likelihood they still have the 2nd available (local only).
Like many others, I called around the country searching for an allocation, with all declining to add me to their list bc they're only dealing with in-state customers. Only one other local dealership got back to me with a May build allocation @ 40K ADM - which was laughable.
Exercise your patience, get onto as many lists as possible, and it sure wouldn't hurt to go to the dealership to put a face to the name. Best of luck!

Why would PDK be a non starter for most? I've found there is a strong PDK contingent out there. It truly is a personal preference. Seems people make these arbitrary statements about why a car hasn't sold, or why it's still for sale, or why it didn't sell for as much as it could have (BaT), etc. It's very possible nothing is "wrong with the car".

Beware the PDK and seat vitriol in this group. It’s gotten to the point that it’s almost comical.

I would tend to agree that a PDK Spyder would be less desirable on average, just due to the nature of what a Spyder is and the types of enthusiast it attracts... but a non-starter? No way.

With buyer fee the car bid to MSRP. Could be a tough car with such limited options, but also a steal for someone who just wants a driver.
Sports car market always dips in the Winter and pops back in Spring when the northern states thaw out. Let’s see if we’re back in that “normal” cycle.
