Given 2023 cars do not get Bose or LED headlights, I think 2022 will be the car to have. I know my first 718 GT4 was a 112,xxx msrp and dealer sold within 2 weeks of me pre-trading (had about 10K miles too) CPO'd for 139K. I would think your car being 2 years newer would be worth around 145-155K.

I say put it in the Marketplace (https://rennlist.com/forums/market/vehicles) at "Best Offer" and see what you get!

Even worse considering 370 miles was the trip home from PEC Atlanta. I work from home, have two young kids and my hobbies fall on the side of taking my truck (biking/race car/karting). I will clean it up and see, I didnt even think about the PDLS+ and bose shortage, but cant imagine it has a huge impact. Based on the two estimates here, pricing may wildly vary!

I realize I am very late to the party. Where do I even start to look for a gt4 allocation? Local dealers and work outwards? How much over MSRP should I expect if I can even find an allocation?

Going out of state, most dealers are looking for ADM. It has come down lately but still varies wildly between $5k and $25k.

Expect to pay ~$20K-$30K ADM for a GT4 allocation. There are dealers selling at MSRP; however, securing a vehicle is more important than the price point. It doesn't matter if they sell at MSRP if they can't get you a car. I have found that in the current environment, the dealers selling at MSRP have long waiting lists (20+ people). The likelihood of you getting a car before the end of production is very low if you're number 23 on the list. Good luck with your search.

There are two methods: 1) pick up the phone and start calling dealers. Start with your local dealers and work outward. Expect many out-of-state dealers to not want to do business with out-of-state clients. or 2) contact a broker and see what they can do for you. I opted for Option 1. There's something about eating what I kill that appeals to me.

I dialed around locally, within 100 miles and found an allocation quickly at a fair price ($10k premium), but I had a 992 to trade in. That may have helped.

1. Get a "real" allocation, will be around 20k ADM over MSRP since that's what brokers are still quoting to people. You may get the car in 6-12months depending on supply chain and all those issues.
2. Buy a used car for call it around 10-15k over MSRP. You get the car now.
3. Get added to an MSRP list and either see no car or maybe get an allocation a year from now?
Yeah the trade in helps because they are probably going to make around 20k off that and trade in value is below what you could sell private party.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I will hit the phones. Ordering new and getting exactly what I want is appealing. That said, I am not that picky when it comes to colors or spec so if I am forced into paying a ADM of $10k or more I don't know if that is worth it to me. In that scenario, I might prefer keeping my eyes peeled for a used gt4 at/close to msrp and enjoying it today.
