Anyone else shopping for new on-lot GT4's notice the asking prices across the board have gone up in recent weeks? $40K over on the last 4 landed cars I've inquired on in CA and back east. I know it's "ask" but they didn't even seem interested in discussing offers of anything less.

$40k over seems even higher than “peak ADM” from a few months ago. I’m shocked.

Greedy clowns, South bay must be a part of those. They are by far and away the biggest clown dealer in the whole nation.

I hope the dealership falls into a giant sink hole any day now

I’ve noticed the following trend in the past 2-3 weeks for new GT4s either inbound or on a dealer’s lot:

30-40k ADM if you are out of state
20-30k ADM if you are in-state but not “local”
10-20k ADM if you are “local”

My data points are from dealers in CA, FL, IL, and TX. One dealer said they’re going to auction it and asked me for my bid over the phone.

Agreed, but that’s not what actually happens. Dealers throw a ridiculous price on the car, so that when then sell it for a lower, but still high price, the buyer thinks they got a great deal. So many big Porsche dealers play this game.

They do, and it's not just Porsche only. Go to any dealer and check out pricing. Covid taught dealers that most people are willing to pay higher prices. They have no major incentive to offer pre-Covid discounts at this point.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...man-gts-4-0-4/

Another indicator of a cooling market.

RNM at $84K, MSRP $96.5k.

Color, miles, time of year, or just a declining market?

GT4 has and will always command a large premium over 4.0

Not a great color combo and engine failure/replacement probably scared some people off this one.

Here is a GT4 that went RNM and $12K below MSRP.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2020-porsche-cayman-gt4-11-2/

What was wrong with this one.

Recent Spyder failed to reach $100K.

I dunno…looks like it sliding.

This car only had 6 total bids (the GT4 today had like 20 bids in the last 20 minutes). This one had an absent seller who didn't answer any questions, didn't provide an overrev report and the car had clearly been tracked so people had questions.

I'm not saying the market isn't slipping - our cars aren't immune to market forces - but there's usually a reason for the cars that don't bring all the money. It's softening but slower than some other corners of the market.

that GT4 is 3 years old. A 2022 just sold today on BAT for msrp + $10.5k. They will depreciate eventually. That being said, market is softening.

Orange is quite a bright color and defeats the purpose of a GTS, which is to be subtle and blend in. Has 10k miles on it as well and is now 3 years old.
