They want $30k over for the black Spyder in Austin. I just passed on two new Spyders at $10k over that were much higher spec, so I told them "hard pass", but good luck. Also, fyi, these were bonus allocations from Porsche, and there are two identical specs that went to Porsche Houston and Porsche Beverly Hills.

Just an observation for those still looking, there was a Porsche price increase of around 6 to $7,000 during the early production run in 2020 to 2021.
Which means, if you are looking at a 2020 model and it seems that the dealer is asking 7,000 over MSRP, you probably can't build that same spec for any less now.
We just bought a 2020 CWM for approximately 135,000, even though the MSRP was around 127,000.
After building the spec in the configurator as it was, the price new would have been around 134,000

There's a Lava Orange GTS 4.0 on BAT right now. Been awhile since we've seen one, I'm curious what the market will say considering out of the last 3 the two bid up to ~$99k didn't meet reserve...

I bought it with the intention of it being the “less flashy” sports car to use of my little collection but that rarely happened. Also thought my wife might like to drive it but driving a manual was not something she wanted to do.
Given the few amount of times I get to take cars out, it was the set of keys I’d grab last. I also missed the bark of my 981 but not enough to fix it. Figured to cut my small loss now before winter sets in here.

I agree with you. But just remember, all it takes is one foolish fish. Dealers aren't looking to appeal to the masses with their pricing. All of us rennlisters can say that's overpriced. One rando with deep pockets can walk in off the street and slap down the dealers asking price to go home and be happy with his/her new Spyder.
