Incorrect. The odometer is not set in kph. I mentioned this a few posts up, but the digital speedometer AND (only) odometer flip to mph and miles (just like a USA car can flip back and forth to kph if you want) in about 5 seconds.

The difference is the Analog (the needle speedo) which reads in kph and the Analog temp gauge on the left which reads on Celsius.

For practicality purposes, if you have spent time behind the wheel of a 997, you know that the Analog needle speedo is basically unreadable. Which is why the factory probably put the digital readout front and center.

IMO an RS is an rs. In this case, you have a North American spec rs that will readout on miles and mph if you want it to. What exactly is the rub?

The Canadian cars are lingering because Canada is having a harder time, there are less buyers, oil is still on shaky ground, and I think most of the USA buyer base doesn't understand the potential arbitrage opportunity.

Good luck.

Sorry, that is right. I mixed up the wording. Speedometer is in kph, but you can change odomoter units. Either way, there is no material difference between Canadian vs. US cars.

LOL. Quebec is really a separate country , not much like the rest of Canada

I wouldn't be surprised if they let it go for the $140-145US range since its been there for a while now.
I inquired about this car sometime ago. One owner car. Here is the DME:

No one has a crystal ball that I am aware but I think we can all agree that production numbers were low enough on these cars to ensure they will always be highly sought after. Case closed.

Sorry should have been more clear but speaking on 997 RS. The 997 GT3's will also do well long term just for the reason that they are reliable and a blast to drive.

Really don't want to go through the headache for importing car. Also, someone here who was familiar with the car told me paint doesn't look very good due to chipping. I'll see if I can dig out the message.

Understood. Don't think the import process is that onerous, esp if you have an experienced broker. But as I mentioned in a previous post, you can tell even from the few pics that the paint looks pretty beat up.

Anyone know anything about this car: WP0AC2A98AS783689

3-owner car (NJ>TX>Louisiana), 12K miles, asking $190. DME relatively cleanish.

Lots of service history at Princeton Porsche and Porsche of North Houston.
