"The exterior is a beautiful platinum silver metallic and the interior is a lovely black. This 2 dr coupe has a sporty look with the rear spoiler feature."

These guys are putting an effort.

Always try to buy private party first, primarily the seller first. A good majority of these brokers do not know the history of the vehicle and try to tell you anything they think you want to hear.

Sure there are exceptions, however I learned the hard way once...

I always wonder who dealers think will read these flowery adjective-filled descriptions and go, "You know what, I'm sold."

Anyone know the story to this one? I've seen it for a while now. Interesting with the .2 mods but still not priced like a true beater

Decent. Unfortunately, no PCCB's. Plus, most don't want to deal with importing a Canadian car. My biggest issue is the 2.8% import duty.

Seems like the price is already considering that and then some.

Importing is very easy. It's a phone call. And some docs. Docs which are sent to you to fill out when you use a high end transporter like tfx that does this weekly.

Including the duty, it puts that car along with a few others in the lower end of the market. Like I said, the deal is decent assuming the car is clean. But easy or not, I think many have a fear (irrational?) that the car will be 'different' somehow. And while the process may be relatively pain free, it's still another step and expense when you can probably get a similar car in the states.

One owner car for that price is unusual, though. I don't think the weaker Canadian dollar accounts for all of it. It must reflect some flaws. I'd venture to guess that every Quebec RS has been to Mont-Tremblant, many with the battle scars to prove it.

I don't know the car. But do your homework. And grey black is badass in the flesh.

I can tell you that "importing" is no different than shipping a USA car from a dealer. The extra step you don't even feel. You call, you pay, you fill out paperwork and the car shows up. You go to dmv and get a title.

Do what you want. Just trying to help dispel some myths around here.

Not disagreeing with you. Just saying after the added costs, it's around the price of similar cars in the US.

How much does tfx charge for the service?

If you are concerned with the state of disarray on the car- get a PPi at Canadian dealer- it's the same thing...I have imported 4-5 cars in the last 24 months.
