Couple things to note on this car:
Want to know what is going on with the "bumper plugs" on the lower part of the front bumper. Easy fix I'm sure to just repaint.
Missing a piece of trim around the exhaust.
Has incorrect shift **** on that car. Not the correct volcano gray shift **** pattern.
Aftermarket pedals, radio, exhaust tips, tint and wheels painted in black.

This one sold for $160k with fees. So much for the GT3 market cooling.

Weird. The guy who won did not bid that much during the auction. PCar must call the few people who were bidding and work a deal.

Yeah, that's why it takes them forever to mark the auction as sold. If reserve is not met, they try to work out a deal between seller and high bidders, and then submit the sale price as the final bid, even though technically it was not bid that high during the auctions. I suppose at the end all that matters is where it sold.

F*CK PCARMARKET! I won that auction (carolinaguy99 is me on there) or had the high bid and without even me knowing they took a higher offer 30 minutes after the auction ended!!! Didn't even stand a chance. Even the seller is furious.

You’re saying that even Though you were the high bidder, they did not contact you and give you an opportunity to come up to meet reserve? Why would they give the second highest bidder the opportunity to increase their bid but not give the same opportunity to you? Makes absolutely no sense.

I wasn't offered the ability to do anything until AFTER they'd secured a larger bid. The new high bidder has bought several cars there apparently so they likely just f*cked me to take care of someone who keeps giving them 5k a pop on multiple cars.

Back to the drawing board.

so they got the 155 bid, and then asked you if you wanted to go even higher? Either way, that’s messed up. I’m sorry to see this happened to you I know it must sting. Hang in there, eventually another one will come along.

That’s why they have less than 10% of BAT and dying a slow death.

While I admit the available inventory for sale is very low right now, I don't get why anyone would pay $155K or $160K for that car. For PCCB and yellow stitching? [Can't wait for the fanb0yZ to come out swinging!!]

In my view, they probably did you a favor, although it sucks if you really wanted it. Rest assured, there will be others, and for $155K you'll get a very nice 997.1 gt3.

Still bizzare to see this kind of stuff being pulled by pcarmarket.

I have a lot I could say about my terrible experience with PCar but I’m not going to bash them. All I want to say is they do some very shady stuff and I have first hand experience with it as a seller on there.

Admitted fan boy here. People are willing to pay big premiums for condition, history, and their ideal spec. Plenty of people out there for whom $10k or even $100k makes little difference so they are happy to pay up to get exactly what they want. If you just want a driver example and are on a budget, I completely understand why you would not want to pay for anything that won't add to the actual driving experience. Different strokes for different folks. It's indisputable though that there seems to be no shortage of people willing to pay top dollar for top examples.

I don't disagree, although i think many times people's perception of condition gets distorted with these auction cars. I mean that same car would've sat for months at a dealer if priced at $160K. Fascinating stuff. Nonetheless, I hope @mattonthewater finds a nice car soon.
