Under $$700K coolish - not climbing
$700K - $1.5M - still very hot and getting top dollar for good property (but not climbing)
Over $1.5M, and especially over $2M, prices have come back about 10% and buyers are very choosy..........
The general theme is people are prepared to wait for the next one if it doesn't quite tick all the boxes.
But PM me if you want.
Cheers

Tyre update.
Australia still hasn't responded with shipping costs even after prompting. I suspect they will come back Monday.
Ive chosen to order the 285/30/18 rears in soft (C70) compound. The fronts remain 235/40/18 C70 If they fit under the rear guards (not 100% known at this stage) then there are two small advantages. 1). Larger tyre contact patch for traction and 2). a small reduction in overall gearing form the 265s (negligible at approx 20 rpm per km).
The only two disadvantages I can see at this stage are 1). Slightly heavier and 2). may induce a bot more under-steer particularly when coupled with a functioning 40/60 diff.
Apart from that they are $79 a corner more expensive. We will probably need to reduce the rear camber to -2.00 which means Ill leave the front at -2.30 for overall better multi use wear....
John. Ill keep working on the Aussie shipping. The product is priced well its the cost of the FEDEX which will be the make or break. I think it would be worthwhile yourself and Paul grabbing a pair of 225 fronts each if the freight is fair and stashing these to get you through the 2014/15 season....

I totally agree. If you are confident in you brakes you will lean on them harder and lap faster. If it builds confidence I think it will benefit your lap time john. The only thing holding back a sub 19 today IMO is you. It's not your technique either but mAybe how brave you are. That being said there is a fine line between brave and reckless!

BTW Steve has convinced me to keep tracking Lola... With a few improvements coming down the line.
All this talk of tyres. Toyo R888s. Everyone on them = similar competition. Last a long time. Not susceptible to heat cycling like others. Good in the wet. A 964 set for $1600. Drift on turn 3. What more could you want?

I'm in as long as it's not all wheel drive and German http://www.trademe.co.nz/740954154
on the property front we were hunting last year for an investment property, the market was intense mostly but noticed a big drop off late 2013 in the competition and to the point were we won a couple of auctions but vendors were still 10% above market price. finally purchased in feb this year.
