So I shouldn't be too quick in painting out a house full of Rimu trim?

Fascinating! Deja vu. I hope to get to the factory again this year or next and will keep an eye of for Herman the factory worker (now using a grease gun on the nipples of a Siemens robot), proudly sprouting a lip caterpillar like his daddy did!

Actually Im a big fan of robots and believe there will be huge growth in this industry over the next 2-3 decades. Im looking for investments in this industry. Imagine contracting out of the laborious NZ employment legislation and saving yourself 40k pa in salary (plus 35% more than that in annual compliance and benefits) simply by signing a 10 year finance & service contract on a 250,000 nzd Siemens R16-23 droid who can do the work of your receptionist or factory manager 24 hrs a day without complaint (or mistake, or sick days or taking you to the employment tribunal for unfair dismissal etc). Its the way of the future. We are legislating ourselves out of jobs...I damn well hope they look like this!

PS. Its a nice idea John but they have basically legislated Rimu out of the "affordable" builing materials index so you may have to go european and fall in love with pine wood instead!

Macca, I don't need to afford Rimu. I'm surrounded by the stuff. I need to cover it and join the 21st Century. Since I opted to stay employed rather than take a cheque, there goes every weekend for the next couple of years.

Damn John I thought you had retired! I was using you for future inspiration.

Rimu joinery is good. I think the wall to wall paneling is the 70's office look we were worrying about...

I ordered and the Heigo half cage today. Will be 6 weeks before it manufactured and delivered to CCS. Ive asked Dean to give it to stefan to have the tubes lacquered in P61W (steel grey like the other accents on the car). Should be installed by May and anyone interest is welcome to swing by CCS where my car seems to live, and take a look see. I think you'll find its a nice solution for a road car doing occasional autoX, Playday and Targa.

Ive attached a couple of pictures of the net of similar set ups to give you an idea.

Talking of Targa, is anyone here doing the Oct/Nov 2013 Targa NZ (Tour or otherwise)? I'm keen to do it (dependent on travel plans still unknown). Paul are you going this year? John?

Pete. There's far more creativity going on in this thread than any Colenso BBDO or Saatchi agency can give you (for free) buddy LOL!

Hey if you took the DeLorean youd be stuck in the 90's with a failed distributor!

That's more like it Pete! Enjoy the game. Now if you had a Lesboid at home she would wait up till you got home and still be happy to give you a massage!

Matt. Did you get those articles I sent you?

Yeah. Probably given too much away aye!!

I did pick the tamest ones I could post without upsetting those in an office environment with work colleagues around. Check out Hajime Sorayama a famous Japanese artist. I quite like his work. As Pete would say "quite 80s". See if you can slip one of those into your next architectural artistic rendering LOL!

Rotorua Targa is a manageable length. Just the weather that time of the year doesn't appeal. The new 4 day format for the Targa NZ looks good. 5/6 days is very tiring. You feel bloody good surviviing it tho!

Ah, what the heck, here is one to keep you company in your home office Paul...
