You know Macca wears lofa's like that (I and thought he was just being a style icon, now I know it's to drive faster??)

Sh*t. Game's up on the loafers eh

Hey. At least I dont wear them with white socks! 80s style king!

I dont think hes "pumping" the throttle. Just dabbing it to keep momentum and coming off of it I suspect to tuck the nose in. Those NSX could be tail happy but were quite adjustable on the throttle Im led to believe.

Real world doesn't back up speculation. A very well driven 993, heavily modified, can not keep up with a 996 Cup car with a new driver. Look at race results from last 3 Porsche races. Also, Kev's 944 has been completely reliable once the previous owners work had been properly sorted.

Cheers, Craig.

Craig. Agreed a 996 Cup would be a different proposition all together. Only comparing to known data on 996 GT3 road cars Ive run with on the track. Assumptions on HD times based on Nigel/Matt GT3 best laps to date and comparative extrapolation of my/Pauls own times in 993. I have a friend in the UK running 993 C2 with 9M stage 2 (330 bhp/3.8) and same suspension running 1.2s off the pace of 997.1 GT3 at silverstone. I think with 30lbft+40hp more they can be effective. Keep the weight around 1280-1300 wet and they corner real well.

Thanks for putting me straight on Kevs car. I discussed it with someone who knew the car prior and wasnt aware it was now 100% reliable.

Graeme. Thanks for the thread link. Thats my Thurs night sorted. Bloody great reading. Those Singers are just the bomb. I love them (but not the price!).

Doug. Thanks for posting that Hamiltons video yesterday. Just finished watching it. Really enjoyable. WE were at the event much of it was filmed at and spend a long time with the owners of Hamilton's discussing and pouring over the Group 4 911 they built. Took many pictures at that event and learnt a tonne from the independents there. They had that car on the market for 120K freshly finished barr a bit of tuning needed....

Nearly, still have to mount trackit and monit. Get some extra intrusion bars. And put livery on. Close but not there yet. Hopefully will make it to shakedown on Wednesday.

Did you manage to win the Trademe auction of a certain white 911?

Word is that a mountain bike / skis don't fit too well in a 944. No mention of plans for another P-car at this stage.

I still have plans, though they need to wait a bit - and for you to clear out of Steve's shop first.

I was, just not at a price I was expecting - I feel a bit like calling shenanigans! (Southpark reference).

Sounds like you've got it sorted. Had left the option open until today but will now be looking on jealously actually as I sit this one out. Been burning the candle at both ends with my operations manager being away this last month, and my spider senses are telling me I had better rebuild the brownie points balance with my wife and preschoolers.

Close run thing and almost dropped in to the Targa office in Papakura a couple of days ago but when I got there it looked to be closed. Consoling myself by putting the tour pennies in the competition fund.

You're doing the race as opposed to the Tour right? If so, colour me double jealous. Love empty roads and keen to do that too one day but caging my car with a welded cage is still a bridge too far for now.

Some quality roads by the looks of it. Looking forward to the war stories from you, Chris and the rest of the RSG/Rennlist team.
