Does slaying 964's count??

You may even slay the occasional 944 race car??

Worked out that the house reno actually absorbed more cash than the cars did over the last year so don't rush in to it. That way you can afford a 997.2 GT3.

Yes - cars are cheap compared to Alk property prices.

The bathroom refit was more than all of the work on the C4. Not a good feeling spending money on an ensuite no one will see.

However the HD Bilsteins going into the Turbo 3.6 are worth the cost. May even take it back to the track if they give it better handling. May need the boost to slay a 993

John. Bring it down to Manfield with the C4. Donna can bring the C4 down mid day. Jo can bring the GT3. I need something to chase to get down to 1.19.20 (my Manfield 2014 goal) LOL!

Paul. Chasing the 944S2s interests me. I need to get both cars set up perfectly before September so I may sneak in for a few days closer to the NITT. Ill try to time it for an HD day. Id love to get the 993 out there and shake down all the work about to be done on it before SITT. I'm sick of rushing in the few days I have before an event....

Paul. A 944S2 definitely makes sense for you. I dont have enough experience to go racing yet but in a couple of years time I may be facing the same dilemma. In my case it will be "911 race car" or "one make series" and probably the latter as Ill still have a quick 911 for taking to the track when I feel like it. The 944S2 makes a great race car Im sure but my 968 never inspired me and I dont really want to go back there again.

Probably best make it Taupo then. I think the girls are going to hang out at Hilton and Day Spa in surrounds. I thought id book a session in RSG for the 993 and Prestige for the GT3 (see if it can outrun a well drive MPC12C). Maybe you should do same. God knows we need the practice at Taupo....Paul will convieniently break something on his car the week before so he can help by driving one of them down :-)

Dave may be a designated driver as well. I just listened to the interior build thoughts to date , it will be epic but unlikely to be ready by September.

Now about this spousal spending. Just like your 991 situation we need solidarity on the amount of compensation. One look at that menu board in the Spa, and someone's bound to break out if not reigned in.

Macca - I still think 944S2 is the way to go. I want to learn how to race..........
Mate best thing for learning racecraft - close racing, learn set up, wet and dry, relatively cheap is go buy a Kart and do club days every month for 2 years. It is unbelievably good experience. Very physical too, not like a big track in a car. You can pull 3G lateral force in a Kart and until race fit after a few laps you can't hold your head up and have to slow down!

I raced Karts for 5 years, long time ago now but very good learning experience. Go do it you will never regret it.

Mmm, local kart track is 4.3km away and membership and yearly private practice track hire totals $280 per year. Do they make karts big enough for 6'4" 100 kg lumps?

This could be arranged if I get a go in the 991 GT3

Mind you - more interested in driving your 993 to see the differences in our cars. Maybe I could set a time for you at HD??

Macca - with the box rebuild - are you shortening the gears??

No. I spoke with Steve wiener in the states about this by phone. He said not to bother regearing till I get the engine built as it is a function of the engines torque and power curves max rpm and it will largely depend on what I have built in the future. With the arms race no doubt building speed in the future may need that extra 100 bhp sooner than later lol! Must buy lotto ticket!
