You are welcome. Good to know the buy off Trademe nine years ago came in handy. Maybe gut your old secondary, get it welded up and use that as a defacto swans neck/g pipe?.

Went out to see what the 944 race cars were doing and came back with two new Bilsteins, an expensive day at the track. Will fit those to the Turbo 3.6. Your offer of a race jack is welcome. I'll put the whole front end in the air to do both struts in one go, then I have two working 964s and the 996TT is on borrowed time.

Also gave Peter the hard drive with the videos up to the start of Highlands. He will see if it works on the projector. Sounds like a media evening coming together. How much footage of Lola's butt can the team take?

Has anyone here every been to Pebble Beach Concours? I am trying to tie in a visit when I am in the States this year however I will miss the main event. I am hoping to catch the Carmel-by-the-Sea concours and/or the Tour where the main event cars park up in Carmel. Has anyone ever been to one of these side events? I want to know if it's worth bending plans to see them.

Might cost more than just a cage but you could do this...

Not many around in manual - could use as an SVP type base

Lots of fun - the controlled test days are a lot of track time for not much $. Only 2 groups so 20+ min sessions - 1 session was at least 17 laps. Some really useful stuff from Steve - good points to work on. Solidly in the 19's and confident I can build from there at Puke. Enduro pace though probably good to be around there.

A lot more confident on the track - man is it lumpy down that front straight though.

Best thing was the race style driving - ok to have a dive and drive a bit like its a race (ask Chris !!)

6K my guess for a really good comoly cage
That Cayman brake cooling ducting is pretty much what I run on my Targa car - directs air straight onto the inside of the rotors next to the vanes so that the air is picked up as the wheel spins and radiates internally in the rotor

What a beautiful build. I know someone with something very similar in the UK. Has a 911 engine in it however.

The build demonstrates that the money and development cost should be spent in order of Suspension, Brakes and lastly Engine. I think this is a great lesson to be learned from a pro race development company.

So I went and did it in the opposite order.....Doha!

That front straight looks different from our session earlier in the year. Have they resurfaced it? Watching you guys it looked a lot bumpier than I recall.
