Figures John. Bloody smooth trace showing minimal up shift loss of pace. Must make a difference to the cars mechanical cadence. Keeps it a bit latter and more predictable during the shift.

Sean joins the boys tomorrow!

OK. Peter's best lap was #5 of the last session....1.19.649! Here compared to his best recorded lap on 20 July. Blue is 11/8, red is 20/7.

Sorry Doug, not sure what to compare your best semi-wet lap against so chose Peter's best dry lap. Yours was 1.25.092

Well done Peter - into the 1.19's. I hope that's not a damp track time..??? - no pressure Dave and John.............

All you have to do now is strip a little weight with racing seats, removing the back seats, spare tire and some RS brakes, and you will be challenging Sean in the 1.16's............

Sorry for the no show - ended up having to work the entire day..........

Interesting analysis - Peter is carrying more speed into all the corners and achieving the same higher speed at the end of each straight.

Looks to be holding the car in 4th over front straight too.

Times from the PCNZ day on Sat are now online:

http://www.marktime.co.nz/results/po...aland/13/08/10

John - I think you have some explaining to do with 1.22 recorded in the regularity trials... which has a limit at 1.28....!

Thanks for collecting the data again today. Doug was at his best in the wet so not fair to compare with a dry lap! He reeled me in on all of the wet sessions - I ran the AIM on a couple of wet sessions so you should have a comparative - be interesting to see just how much better Doug was on the corners.

Unfortunately the wet laps are all over the place. We need some more AIMs out there so we can compare like with like on the same run.

Some pics from the day. Mr Black and Peter's C4 now branded.

My 1.22.98 was not the only shame on the day! Not many of us have gone backwards up the main straight.

Indeed - and I thought that had gone unnoticed. Note to self for next time "listen to the briefing..."

$95K for a 997T, seems only yesterday they where $250K used???

Looks like 997's are heading for the serious depreciation curve (with the help of cheap UK imports)...............

Thanks John for sharing this. It certainly would be pretty cool to have a number of units and overlay each other on the same run. Wound be interesting to compare speed in/out of the corners on the same run. The conditions today were pretty variable and I loved the challenge and it was nice to be able to keep up for a change in the Boxster with it being wet. Evens out the horsepower advantages :-). Thanks again.

Not totally dry but probably close to perfect balance for tyre temp. More pressure for Dave, his C2 should be 1 sec faster in the 1.18's. Seriously some great times being posted from 20 year old technology. It's a pity that I didn't have my C4 there today. The 964s would have been even more dominant in numbers. Sean seems unlikely to be back at HD soon, but Sam will hopefully be around more often.

Variable is the word. Fully wet and all times were in the 1.30+, partially dry and they drop at least 6 seconds. Too hard to compare.

Not sure if it breaks the Prestigio rules but we could 'race' indirectly with just a couple of units. Safer than actual racing, as illustrated by Dave's pirouette in front of me on turn 8. If the red mist had descended I would have collected him, possibly t-boning him in the driver door.
