I'm interested in the O.Z. Alleggerita HLT for fitment on a 2004 996.2 GT3:
Fronts: 18x8.5 ET 40
Rears: 18x11 ET 63
Colour: orange
Chassis: WP0ZZZ99Z4S690328

Thanks!

So if you are genuinely interested in a set of OZ alloys ie: have the money now and if the deal is right you'll buy them... Then reply to this post with the relevant details and I will pass it on and come back with a price. Remember I can't promise it'll be better than importing from the US but from my own experience I'm hopeful it will be.

Supplying the info is not a commitment to buy but I also dont want to bother him with pricing if your just curious. From my memory of previous interest I think there were 3 people interested?

I hadn't been able to reply sooner as I have been away.
Hi Jamie.

Thanks so much for looking into this.

Details are-
Porsche. 1995 Carrera. Coupe C2
2 x 18x8 PDC=5x130 ET = 50
2 x 18x10 PDC = 5x130 ET = 65
Colour = Anthracite Painted
Also will need 4 x centre cap OZ original carbon look.

I think Peter or David were also interested.

For those that are interest, here are some pics from a track day I helped run in Taupo on Monday:

Simons 997 Cup Car:

My Brothers Mk1 GTI track car:

My mates 458 and his friends black Scud:

I really need to get my A into G and get my GTI back on the track. Funny thing was my Brothers car has higher mid corner speeds over the Ferraris.

A gentle reminder for anyone interested to sign up for the June 9th Playday Porsche group: http://www.europacific.co.nz/playday...php?topic=13.0

We've only got six people signed up so far and the event is only three weeks away.

The tyres & not the suspension were the limiting factor - something I've never encountered before.

The only car I've driven which felt like that rose-jointed Mini was a Formula Renault single-seater (also rose-jointed). It made the Ferrari 355 & 360 I tried on track feel like a couple of boats. You could drive over a coin & tell if it was heads or tails up!

At Bedford Autodrome on the GT Circuit (4.2 miles) - before its remap with bigger injectors, it was pretty much on a par with a stripped/caged 968 trackday car which was running on Formula R tyres (remember the Mini has a full leather interior, heated seats, air con, glass sunroof, ICE etc) - so not too shabby!

I've been pleading with my brother (Hamish) to take it to HD! May be he'll get there next summer.
Tim. It sounds like a great project and exactly how I would modify a Mini. Ive looked at the hieme jointed arms for the rear of the 993 but there are three a side plus a monoball cassette needed and the parts alone total 2500 usd. They are suited for track not road unless you use the rubber joint bushes to keep the grime and grit out. I really understand how hard it is to build a multi use car like this, keeping the interior stock or even with upgrades and then enhancing the drive-train, suspension and engine as well as some intelligent weight reduction to get it handling like a go kart. Being short wheel base (similar overall dimensions to the 964/993) when it wants to swap ends its all over as the Ring experience indicated. He should really get out and use it - HD is quite straight forward compared to some of teh UK tracks. Oh how lovely it wouldd be to have a 4.2 mile (7km!) track in the North Island. The new Highlands Motorpark in Cromwell looks like it will be that length has two "forest" links and passes a man made lake. cant wait for that!

Haha, thanks Mark, Ill see how I go.
I do about 1.27/28's at Manfield - love that track.

We had an unusual coloured 997 C2 manual at the Taupo track day. It was cream in colour which really grew on me. The car was a manual as well. Silly me, I didnt get a photo of it

I'll check with Contis next week to see the eta on the 964. Surely it won't take 3 more weeks from now to put it back together. Fuchs will have Hankooks by Monday afternoon and duck tail arrived this afternoon. The spousal unit was not keen on taking photos, and it shows. However looks in good condition and I could fit it without painting for the track day.

Hi, when I get back, I'll look up the car details and get a wheel spec
