Sydney was excellent.
It was quite a big event - probably more racing cars there than I expected (used to NZ scale), but basically no public.
A lot of modified cars. Aussies not afraid to deviate from factory spec. There was a white Carrera 3.2 that I will get Macca to post photos on - a beautiful outlaw car.
Macca was in usual fine form and it was great to meet Andrew.
I will let Macca give the run down as he tells a better story.
Cheers
Paul

Works for me. Aside for morning Soccer for my youngest, I think the only appointment I have this weekend is patching up 15 odd electrician made holes in the ceilings, then sugar soaping and finally painting i.e. not overly exciting. Imagine the mess I can make with too many beers inside me!

No not yet sorry. As soon as I have it I'll post it up here. I want to chase it up but also don't want to bug him as he's doing it as a favour. If he hasn't come back soon I'll flick him a message. He'll be waiting on OZ for sure to reply as he's pretty prompt at his end.

Hi All.
Back from the land of the Kangaroo just a few hours ago. Will be looking to fill you all in on what we saw in the next 24hrs. Have alot of pictures and plenty of eye candy for those hot rodders amongst us. Sean, have some great pictures to help you with your new project and also some good ideas for John. Steve R was at the event and we spent plenty of time in the pits pouring over Australian members cars as well as talking to mechanics and workshop owners. As Paul says these guys love to modify and of the 200+ Porsches there I would have to honestly day 80% of them were moderately to comprehensively "fettled". It was good to see coming from NZ etc.
Whilst in Australia Classic Car Magazine NZ asked to feature my hot rod in an exclusive article in their magazine so more on that later too.
Lastly big thanks to Peter and Dave for taking care of the accommodation for the Rennsport Gruppe Inaugural track tour. Please let us know when payment is required.
Lastly you should have all received Tonys email today with regards to the South island Track Tour. There will only be 10 spots for Prestige + Porsche in total so if you wish to attend don't delay. $1100 for a Porsche group for 4 tracks isn't bad. At this time we have Steve R, Sean, myself and John McM confirmed I believe so looking for another 2-3 to make a strong presence....

Yeah. We discussed your engine right as we departed after dinner last night. He says it will be done before the Targa and seems pretty certain about that! So all good!
That's three of us booked and paid for, for SI Tour. Steve makes four. All good so far. Got to have something to look forward too!
