Ill be honest and say Ill struggle to get Jo to agree 700 km in one day. If I can get the average up and bring the travel time down to 5 hrs maybe I can sell it to her. The pain she feels sitting that long affects her for a few days after. We have been making great progress since December. Only hiccups have been a very long windy bus ride. Shes doing good tho which was what this was partly all about!

put yourself and Paul out of your misery and buy the 60k 996 gt3! Someone has too, Imagine it after your detailing skills and with proper gt3 rims, and replacing the carbon interior with some original parts. the mk1 seems to be favoured, haven't driven one myself but should be a worthy p car investment.
I agree, get rid of the wheels, put some factory ones back on, remove the stripes and put the proper front bumper on.
Didnt it sell privately for 48K last year? 48K plus 15K and you could have a nice car?
Or tart it up and send it to the UK?

Then I'm going in front or holding back. Not ready for stone chips just yet.
And I'll be going 7/10ths, heh.
She needs plenty of shakedown time on the road and I need to re-acquaint myself too.

Yeah I did Cannes to Epernay with my wife last year but we stopped in Geneva overnight (a bit off to the side but I wanted to do some watch nerd stuff). Not sure either of us would have been too keen to do something that long all in one day.

Out trip was in 2001 and it still sticks in my mind as stupid. More than 950km and we were in a Renault Scenic which struggled on the Autoroute as you had to stick in the middle lane. We arrived well after dark as my wife doesn't do early starts. I'm not gojng to repeat that.
