Paul an international value is when you can sell it for more overseas in your hand than you would get in your own market and trust me even with RHD best C2 fetching 40k gBP that will only net you 40k nzd in your hand I. nZ due to costs for UK buyer and lack of local market provenance.

I'm pretty sure what your saying applies to vintage collectables perhaps in NZ but not modern cars or modern classics.

Let's hope not as I'm in the market for LHD boxster right now and frankly wouldn't expect to pay any more than 50-60% equivalent RHD price for model age mile & condition...

Agree, the approach taken and costs incurred for the Turbo 3.6 confirmed that it has to be exceptionally rare and/or well priced to attract an offshore buyer.

There is so much quick Porsche kit when you hit the $45,000 mark that I think an 'expensive' air cooled car will have to fight for the few buyers out there and it will have to be immaculate.

Guys - I have just picked up a major new project and need to 'work for the man' as Macca would say. This means I can't go to HD tomorrow (or super slim chance anyway).

If someone wants to use BB2 for Uncles twilight tomorrow - please contact me.

Ha Ha - having no car is like having no nuts.............

I think I need to buy a second car as a contingency for the down times.

I gather that will make you a no start for 2k cup at Taupo as well?

Dave, had you made a decision? If it's no, then Walter you get a car to yourself, BB2. Maybe you should drive her tomorrow to get some seat time.

If it's on a Friday yes.

It it's just over the weekend - I am OK.

Waiting for the timetable. All qualifying and racing is on Sunday. Saturday has multiple practice sessions. Right now I'm looking at both days if we are guaranteed plenty of practice time. If not then just Sunday.

BB is allowed to race but hasn't been scrutineered. That's a big risk when we have to tow it down to Taupo. I suggest we run with the cars not needing scrutineering I.e. Grinch and BB2. I will tow the grinch on Neil's trailer with the Black Behemoth.

Yeah, not me this time, left my run a bit late and have a bit of travel around that time that makes it a tall order to do it all. Good luck anyway.

Good point. Would rather not risk my Audi dragging an Integra (BB) down and back with a chance it might not even run. If you and Paul are happy to share toys and split the races then I'll stop scheming on the BB front and just bludge a ride down with either of you if possible.

Paul, is BB2 already registered for the event? I can add her otherwise and just put both of you down as associate drivers.

I take it that Uncles tomorrow is just turn up on the day with $65, driver's licence, a helmet and a car that's either WOFed or Logbooked? Last Uncles session at Pukekohe I was on the Ecolight Sprint Targa Tour ticket...

Awesome shots Doug - poster material. BTW, if anyone else is digging the silver with red interior and wants it in the form of a 2003 2.7 Boxster with mint hard top, PM me and I'll put you in touch with a motivated seller a block or two along from me in East Auckland. RHD though Macca.
